first day back

First day back at Hogwarts and I'm terrified. I'm scared Draco's going to still be mad that I chose Patty. But I don't care you know, I love Patty and I always will, nothing Draco can do or say will ever change that. Patty and I sit together in an empty booth on the train. Well, it's just us until Draco walks past and decides to walk in.

"Evie... good to see you again," Draco says plastering on a fake smile. "Patty... get off my future wife, would you?" Draco says smirking and me. I couldn't help but blush, I mean how could I not?

"Back off Malfoy!" Patty says standing up and pulling out his wand. "She chose me for a reason buddy" I grab his wand before he does anything stupid.

"Fine, she's yours... for now," Draco says walking and smirking at me still. Patty sits down further away from me.

"What are doing? Come sit over here" I said patting the seat next to me.

"You sure you don't want your future husband to sit there," Patty says staring out the window. I grab his arm and pull him next to me.

"My future husband is already sitting next to me," I say kissing him. I can feel him smiling. I was enjoying the moment when I hear a knock at the door. I whip my head around and I meet eyes with Draco.

"What do you want now?" I say getting annoyed.

"Just grabbing my wand, I think I dropped it in here before," Draco says looking around. Once he spots his wand, he grabs it and walks out rapidly. I turn to Patty and he looks mad, like really mad. But when he looks at me, he smiles.

"I love you, Evelyn Potter," Patty says pulling me into a hug.

"I love you more Patrick Higgins" I mumble into his chest. We both giggle and start talking about our Christmas break. I tell him about how amazing a very white Christmas was, and he told me how much he loved traveling to New York. 10 minutes later we're finally at Hogwarts. We walk into the dining hall together and I could feel Draco's eyes burning me down. I go and sit with Hermione, Ron, and Harry and Patty go to sit with his friends at the Slytherin table. Draco and I kept making eye contact all dinner long. Hermione and I walk to our dorm together after dinner. We unpack together and catch up about everything.

"So, how's Patty?" Hermione says pushing her draws closed.

"Amazing... he's so perfect..." I say laying out my uniform for tomorrow. "... I love him so much" I say putting a dreamy face on.

"Wow, that's beautiful. Have you told your mum about Patty?" Hermione says throwing herself onto her bed.

"Of course not! How do you think she would react if her own daughter was dating a Slytherin?" I say acting as if it was obvious.

"I'm sure she would be okay with it..." Hermione says getting into bed. "... I'm going to bed," she says rolling over.

"Goodnight," I say jumping into bed. I couldn't stop thinking about Draco. Am I still in love with Draco Malfoy?
