Nana, Ellie and I go to her house after an hour and sat in the living room and cried for hours. Then Nana went upstairs and ripped out all of Gramps clothes and sat in the middle of the room with her face buried in them for another hour. Then she ironed every single one, sprayed Gramps cologne on them the way he did and hung them perfectly back into the closet. She then went downstairs and cooked chicken for me, went back upstairs and laid in the bed for the rest of the night. As for me, I just layed in the guest room bed, which would now be mine and cried until I couldn't make another sound so I lay there staring at the ceiling quivering. Then I remembered Ellie, so I walked downstairs and fed her, changed her diaper and put her back in the crib. I saw Nanas food that she made but I wasn't feeling that hungry. I just felt like my life was over. So I sat down next to the crib and stared at Ellie thinking a million things at once. I was thinking about Ellie, about how if it wasn't for Gramps I might not even have Ellie and I would feel even more alone than I do now. Im thinking about my parents and what it would be like if it weren't for Bryan. Everyone would still be alive and Ellie would be way healthier when she was born and she would have got to see her wonderful parents and maybe her name could still be Ellie. Im thinking about Nana and how horrible she must feel, she lost her husband and her daughter and her son-in-law and she has a infant and a kid to care for. I hear a knock at the door but I don’t really notice it until the second ring and the third knock. I answer the door and its Anna and Drew, they have chocolate, ice cream, movies and tissues.
“Hey Izz, can we come in?” Drew asks sympathetically.
“How did you guys know where I was?” My voice is scratchy.
“Drew called your Nana to see if you guys could hang out and then she explained what happened and then she called me because she thought you needed it since she is a wreck. We both went out and bought a few things and got here at the same time.”Anna explains
“Oh, well come in.”
“I have some baby stuff in the car that my mom said I should bring.”
“Thanks guys. I didn’t know what I was going to do with Ellie. Now that I think about it, I have to tell my family that…excuse me.” I walk away tearing up again.
After I told everyone, I was doubting that I would stay with Nana, she would probably come with me and we would live with my Aunt Rosie and Uncle Ron that live in my old city before I moved. So I would get to go back to my normal school and see Drew. Anna said that she lives just a little bit away from there so she could visit and maybe even convince her Cousin to move closer. We took care of Ellie and made my new room look better and put Ellie's stuff in there. We watched Monsters inc. and Twilight. The whole time Anna and Drew were making fun of it and making dramatic faces like Bella. I actually laughed. It was good to be in an actual house again where I could sit on the couch and watch movies. Drew wanted to watch Paranormal Activity 2 but the disc was scratched. I ate all of the chocolate and Anna and Drew ate the ice cream and Chicken Nana made. Drew and Anna slept over and since Drew was there we slept on the living room floor with Drew next to the TV and Anna and I practically behind the couch (Drews moms rules). In the morning Nana was shuffling around the kitchen with coffee and mumbling.
“Are you okay Nana? We weren't too loud right?”
“Oh, sweetheart go back to sleep. Im just glad you have them with you. Im sorry I didnt come out of the room, I just needed some time to breathe, okay? How is Ellie?”
“She is fine, she woke up in the middle of the night last night, so I changed her diaper and fed her a little bit.”
“Your a natural mother.” Nana smiled
“Well, do you want any breakfast?”
“No I can get it, you just relax. Do whatever you want for the day. How long do you want them to stay?”
“How ever long you need. It doesn't bother me. They're nice kids. Well, if you don't need anything, I’m just going to go up and get ready and maybe we could…fix you and Ellies room.” She walks back upstairs but I have a feeling she isn't coming back
down for a while.
