Theo?

<WARNING: DIVERGENT SERIES SPOILERS IN THIS CHAPTER/ONE SHOT>

Shai POV

Today we are filming everyone's favorite part in Allegiant, just kidding, AKA Tris's death scene. I keep worrying about Theo, because he has to watch us film, and I don't know how he's gonna hold up.

Right now, Theo and I are hanging out in my trailer before we have to go to set. I'm sitting in his lap and he has his head buried in my neck.

"Are you going to be okay big guy?" I ask, trying to lighten the mood.

I hear him sigh and his response is muffled, "No. I can't. I can't watch you die, Shai."

I sigh, "Theo, it's not real. Once the director yells cut, it's done and over and I'll be in your arms again okay?"

"Yeah, I'm going to be okay with that, Shai, but what about when Tobias goes to see Tris? You're going to be dead on a table. I-I can't do that," his eyes fill with tears and I wrap my arms around him.

"Theo, baby, it's gonna be okay. I promise you. I'm not going anywhere," he holds onto me.

I hear Neil (yes I know he's not the director but whatever idrc) yell through the megaphone, "Shai and Theo to set please!"

I look at Theo and I peck him quickly, "I love you, and I'll see you soon." As soon as I say it, I knew it was a bad choice.

His eyes begin filling even more, "Those were Tobias's last words to Tris, Shai!"

"I-Im sorry, Theo!" I wrap my arms around him, "Shhhhh. It's gonna be okay, love." I use his nickname he uses for me. And with that, we walk into set.

"Don't move," the actor who play David says, raising his gun. "Hello, Tris."

"How did you inoculate yourself against the death serum?" He asks.

"I didn't," I say, acting dazed as the script said.

"Don't be stupid," he says. "You can't survive the death serum without an inoculation, and I'm the only person in the compound who possesses the substance."

"I suppose it no longer matters," he says. "We're here now."

"What are you doing here?" I mumble.

"I knew something was going on," he says. "You've been running around with genetically damaged people all week, Tris, did you think I wouldn't notice? And then your friend Cara was caught trying to manipulate the lights, but she very wisely knocked herself out before she could tell us anything. Do I came here just in case. I'm sad to say I'm not surprised to see you."

"You came here alone?" I say. "Not very smart, are you?"

He squints at me. "Well you see, I have death serum resistance and a weapon, and you have no way to fight me. There's no way you can steal four virus devices while I have you at gunpoint. I'm afraid you've come all this way for no reason, and it will be at the expense of your life. The death serum may not have killed you, but I am going to. I'm sure you understand-officially we don't allow capital punishment, but I can't have you surviving this."

"I didn't come here to steal anything, David." I say as I lunge toward the machine that is supposed to act as the device that sets off the memory serum. The effects go off and I hear the sound of a gunshot. I pretend to type the numbers, my hand shaking and I hear the gun go off once more before I slam my hand into the green button as I fall into the ground. I see The actor who plays David slumped in his chair.
