Mark sat in his class and kept zoning out. He barely heard two words the professor had said. He only had four days left with Donghyuck. Only four days left to figure out how he died so his soul can move on.
"Fuck my life." Mark groaned as he banged his head on the table.
"You look like you're going through something." Lucas said from next to Mark. "Do you need to talk about it?"
"No, it's just," Mark let out a frustrated sigh. "Do you remember Lee Donghyuck?" Lucas furrowed his eyebrows. "Haechan?"
"Ooh." Lucas said. The professor looked at the pair and they acted like they were taking notes. "I remember that you used to bully him to no end in high school." Lucas said. "Honestly, ask Taeyong if anything. He's known the both of you since you two were babies."
"Wait, really?" Mark asked. Lucas nodded and they stopped talking.
After school, Mark knocked on an apartment door. "Man, I totally forgot about Taeyong." Mark said to himself. "Hopefully, he still lives here."
"Why do you talk like your narrating a story?" Mark heard a familiar deep voice.
"Jaehyun?" Mark looked at the older with furrowed eyebrows. "Dude, talk about coincidences! Does Taeyong not live here anymore?" He asked.
"Wassup?" Taeyong appeared behind Jaehyun.
"You guys live together now?" Mark asked.
"Bro," Taeyong rolled his eyes. "Do you not look at the group chat?"
"No?"
"Okay, never mind. What did you come here for?" Taeyong asked.
"I need to ask about Donghyuck." Mark said as he shoved his way inside the apartment. "Woah, that's pictures really intimate." He cringed as he looked away.
"Why're you asking about Donghyuck?" Taeyong asked as he and Jaehyun walked behind Mark.
"It's a long story and you probably won't believe me, even though so many people do surprisingly, i just need to know how and where he died." Mark said in one breath.
"Dude, do you really not remember Donghyuck?" Jaehyun asked. Mark shook his head and Jaehyun sighed. "It's a long story."
"I have time, kind of." Mark sat down on the couch.
"This is from my point of view and let me tell you right now, Mark, it's not a good one." Jaehyun started
"Hey, Mark!" I greeted as I jogged to the younger. "What's up?"
"Nothing. That fucking creep keeps staring at me." Mark rolled his eyes.
"Who?" I asked as he furrowed his eyebrows.
"The only creep in this school. Lee Donghyuck." Mark turned around. I turned and saw Donghyuck talking to Jaemin and Renjun. "He's always staring at me and I hate it."
"Mark, he's not even acknowledging your existence." I sighed.
TW
"I'll make him acknowledge my existence." Mark huffed. He then closed placed his bag on the floor and walked towards the trio. Why did he always do stuff like this? "Hey, loser!" I groaned and followed after him.
"Mark, stop." I said as I caught up to him. Mark shrugged me off and grabbed Donghyuck's collar.
"I see you staring at me, creep! I told you I don't want to be friends with you!" Mark screamed in his face.
"I don't fucking care if you don't want to be friends with me! And I don't stare at you!" Donghyuck yelled back as he tried to push Mark away.
"Guys, stop." Jaemin said as he tried to get in between them.
"Shut up!" Mark snapped. "Why don't you go die? No one cares about you! Not even your own mother." Donghyuck's lips trembled as Mark said that. I stared at the two of them.
"Mark, let him go." I grabbed Mark's shoulder.
"Dickhead!" Donghyuck snapped as he kicked his foot on Mark's private area. Mark yelped in pain and dropped Donghyuck.
Donghyuck ran off and I kept looking between the two. I decided to go after Donghyuck instead of checking up on Mark. I followed Donghyuck inside an abandoned bathroom.
"Haechan." I said as I knocked on the only closed stall.
"Haechan isn't in here." I heard a voice sniffle. I chuckled and opened the door.
"Don't cry over Mark, Donghyuck." I sighed as I stood in front of him. "You need to go to class now."
"No, I want to die. I don't want to do anything. I hate myself." Donghyuck cried into his hands. I frowned and placed my hand on his head. I ruffled his hair slightly.
"Listen to me Donghyuck," Donghyuck looked up at me as I said that. "You may feel like that now but one day someone is going to have an influence in your life that won't make you feel that way. You have so much to live for. I know your past with your parents but they don't matter. The people that do matter is you. You're the only one that matters. Live for yourself, Donghyuck, not for anyone else." I said to him. That caused him to cry more.
"I'm s-scared." He hiccuped.
"I'll tell the football team to be your personal bodyguards. That way if Mark lays a hand on you, they'll beat him up." I chuckled. That caused Donghyuck to laugh as well.
"You're a good person, Jaehyun. I'm glad we're friends and that Taeyong has someone like you in his life." I smiled at the younger and ruffled his hair again.
"I'm glad we're friends, too."
