"What're you going to do about Haechan?" Jaehyun asked as he leaned against the wall. "At this point it's like the two of you are dating."
"I'd never date him." Mark scoffed as he rolled his eyes. "He's ugly, annoying and fat. He's the last person i'd ever want to date. I'm just hanging with him because his dad died and i used to be his friend or whatever." Mark gagged.
They turned as they heard something drop. The persons face was blurred out but Mark could see the pain. "Wait, Haechan!" Mark called after him. "Fuck." Mark threw his backpack at Jaehyun and ran after Haechan.
Mark followed Haechan up to the roof. "Haechan, stop!" Mark grabbed his arm and pulled the boy to face him. The face was more blurrier and glitchy. All Mark could see was his lips.
"You never really cared about me, did you?" A smile was shown on the boys lips. Mark wondered how he could smiled.
"No that's not true! I do care for you!" Mark shook his head.
"It's not so easy to trust, I guess..." The boy got out of Mark's grip and ran off.
Mark shot up and his eyes were wide open. "Haechan?" Mark said to himself. "Who the hell is Haechan?" He asked. He turned to his side and saw Donghyuck sleeping. "Cute." He smiled.
When Mark woke up again, he smelt breakfast and thought his mom was home. "Mom?" He asked as he walked into the kitchen.
"Boy, do i look like your mother?" Donghyuck scoffed as he put a plate down. "I made breakfast. I'm going out today so I'll be back around seven or something."
"Where are you going?" Mark asked.
"You're doing your investigation and I'm doing mine." Donghyuck winked at Mark.
"What investigation?" Donghyuck looked at Mark in disgust as he asked this with his mouth full of food.
"Oh look at the time." Donghyuck laughed awkwardly as he ran out the house.
"Cute." Mark chuckled as he continued eating. His eyes widened as he came to a realization. "Oh shit!"
"I think i have feelings for Donghyuck." Mark groaned as he banged his head on the table.
"Hold up." Jungwoo said. "You have feelings for a ghost." Jungwoo bit his lip to keep himself from laughing.
"It's not funny! I have to help him move on! It's bad that i don't remember but now i don't know if i want him to leave." Mark frowned.
"Mark, thats selfish." Jungwoo sighed. "When the time comes and you do remember, you have to help him move on."
"What if it was you and Doyoung?" Mark asked. "What if Doyoung was dead and you have to choose if he will stay with you forever or move on and never see each other again?"
"I'll choose for him to move on." Jungwoo looked at Doyoung, who was across the courtyard. "I know he'll be happier there and watch over me. I'll probably follow after him soon." Mark furrowed his eyebrows as he had no idea what that meant. "No matter what you have to let Donghyuck move on."
"I will." Mark nodded. "No matter what."
Mark was walking home when he was yanked back. "Yo, what the hell!" He turned around and saw Johnny and Ten. "Why did you do that?" He whined.
"We know your secret." Ten said. "We've been following you."
"Wait, what?" Mark was surprised.
"You're a very oblivious person. It wasn't that hard." Johnny said. "Anyways, we've been following you since the day at the café. You're always talking to the air and going to all of our friends-"
"And the library!" Ten added. "I've never seen you enter a library." Ten narrowed his eyes. "What's happened to our Mark?" Ten asked.
Mark sighed and told them everything. "Lee Donghyuck is following you and doesn't know he's dead but you do and you have to remember what happened two years ago in order for him to move on." Johnny repeated. "Dude, are you on drugs?" Johnny grabbed him face.
"Dude, no!" Mark slapped his hands away. "This is why i didn't want to tell you." Mark huffed.
"Mark, how long has Donghyuck been around you?" Ten asked nervously.
"It's been five days. Why?" Mark furrowed his eyebrows.
"I've been in your situation before. I had those friend who was like a younger brother to me, Yangyang. He died when he was in his freshman year of high school. I was going through a hard time and then two years later, he appeared in front of me. He didn't remember anything except some names and places. He didn't remember me and when he did he told me that after 10 days if he didn't find out how he died, an evil spirit can claim his soul and he'll live eternity in pain. Luckily, I knew how he died and just had to take him back to where he died and he moved on." Ten had tears rolling down eyes.
Johnny pulled Ten into a hug and tried to comfort him. "I have five days left." Mark frowned. The situation had changed and now Mark had to remember.
