Chapter 37: Favor

I woke up the next day with Ivan still asleep and cuddled close to me.

I was still feeling guilty for shutting him down last night.

I gently moved and carefully got out of my bed.

I went to the kitchen and check if there is anything in the fridge.

To my surprise, it was fully packed, there were also groceries on the kitchen counter.

I took the apron and started cooking breakfast for Ivan.

I do know how to cook now actually.

Between me and Tyler, I think I got a lot better in the kitchen than he does.

When I finished cooking pancakes, omelette and meatloaf, I place it on the tray and was ready to serve Ivan breakfast in bed.

I was just in the perfect time when I got back to my bedroom.

He just woke up and started stretching his arms up.

"Good morning sleepy head... Breakfast?" I said softly.

He smiled warmly at me.

"And in bed, wow.. good morning wifey." He replied while taking the tray from my hand.

I scrunched my nose when I heard him call me wifey.

He only say that occasionally when he wants to tease me.

"Sure.. Ivan." I said teasingly.

He caress my hair and kiss me on top of my head.

"Love.." he said.

He prefers hearing my endearment for him.

While we were eating, the hotel phone suddenly ring.

We both look at each other then Ivan took it and receive the call.

"Oh hi, good morning ma'am.. yeah, we were just having breakfast." His tone was slightly formal which is why I know he was probably talking to my mom.

He moved the phone a little bit away and turn his attention to me.

"It's your mom. She's asking if we want to join her and Sarah on the hotel restaurant for breakfast." He mentioned.

I slightly shook my head and wave at him to say no.

"We are already eating.." I whispered.

After last night, I don't think being anywhere near Sarah would be a good idea. I want to avoid running into her at all cost.

"Oh okay.." Ivan place the phone beside his ear again and told my mom that maybe we can have breakfast with her some other day.

"Thank you.. Do you want to speak to Via?" Ivan asked towards the other line.

He handed the phone over to me.

"Hi sweety, come and visit me at my office later before lunch okay? Have a good breakfast and see you later." My mom said to me.

I nodded "okay mom.. bye, love you." I said lastly.

I wonder why she wanted me to go to her office.
