(Recap)

"Thank you guys... For this, taking care of her. It means a lot. Just hoping that's what you guys have been doing while I've been absent in her life..." Taehyung smiled at me and patted my shoulder.

"Don't worry Hoseok... You can trust us. Be careful on your trip you two." Me and Namjoon nodded and we left to prepare for our journey.

(Namjoon's POV)

"So do you know where you're going?" Hoseok asked me as we were standing in the middle of a town surrounded by trees.

"No. Well, maybe. I know he's here somewhere. I can sense his power. But it's not in the warehouse. It's got to be outside, cause you know, Witches love their forests. Come on." I ushered him to follow me to a path that led into the forest.

We came to a stop between as we were surrounded by dead trees and tree stumps.
"Alright, you just- stand there. I got this part." I breathed in deeply and closed my eyes as I whispered his name in my mind, I opened them again when I sensed the change in the atmosphere.

"He's closer." I continued calling his name in my head. That's when the wind calmed down. The breeze no longer made the material on my body move.

"Well. Never thought I'd see you again Namjoon. How long has it been? Almost 15 years now, and I see you're not dead." I whipped my head around and saw he was standing behind Hoseok.

"Alaric. Good to see you too old friend. And I had my reasons on why I had to fake my death. More so just to go undercover." He hums while he placed his hands behind his back inspecting me.

"You know long ago I could've helped you with your little undercover job. So how is your 'job' going? And who exactly are you trying to gain information from?" I stayed quiet. Not sure on how I actually wanted to answer it. I looked at Hoseok. And I know he'd be more than shocked about my confession.

"It's Jin. I was trying to gain information from Jin." And as I know it, he was shocked. Both of them were. Alaric furrowed his eyebrows and tilted his chin up in a sort of curiosity pose.

"Your own best friend? What could you possibly need to gain from him?" I started feeling melancholy. The many memories and emotions running through my mind was enough to make a normal human go crazy.

"I have a feeling he had something to do with my family's death, and the dozens of other families. He and I didn't know each other before it happened. But I'd never forget that night everybody died. As I grew older. I remembered his face from the town I grew up in."

(Flashback to 200 years ago )

"Joonie!? Can you take your sister out to fetch her things? She said she left it outside." I sighed in frustration as I tried to get my work done for school. I stood up from my desk slamming the pencil down walking out of the small bedroom downstairs.
