"i need to tell him," sicheng said, walking into the kitchen where lucas was making their breakfast, "he deserves to know."

lucas nodded, "i think so too, but you dont have to, okay? just remember that. do things at your own pace..."

sicheng nodded, walking behind lucas and placing his chin on the boy's broad shoulder, "im- im sorry, lucas..."

"hm?" lucas replied, moving slowly so sicheng could remain on his shoulder, "sorry for what?"

"mmm... being a waste of time.."

lucas shook his head, turning around and holding the boy's head in his hand. he smiled softly, putting a piece of food into his mouth, "listen, sicheng-ah... you're not a waste of time, alright?"

he didnt believe him. instead, sicheng's eyes became full of tears as he slowly ate the food.

"you're the complete opposite, alright? if i didnt want to care for you, and help you, i would've left by now."

"that's... all you're here for?" sicheng asked, his shoulders dropping as lucas held him up.

"i- no, sicheng. yeah, one of my jobs is to take care of you, but i'm still here, because you're one of my best friends, cheng.."

wiping his eyes, sicheng slowly moved closer to the younger, hugging him delicately. lucas wrapped his arms around him too, stroking his hair, "it's alright, okay? i know, sicheng, i know it's hard. i understand that your brain is telling you so many things, but you need to listen to me.."

"i-im sorry.... i listen to you... and yuta..."

"has yuta been telling you the same things i have?"

sicheng nodded, making lucas happy, "that's good.... listen to me and yuta then.. alright? we both love you, and we would never lie to you.."

love

sicheng laid in bed that night, his heart confused. he never really grew up with the word "love."

sicheng was an orphan. both of his parents passed when he was 8. he was raised by his grandma and aunt, but was an independent child for most of his teenage years. he then moved out at 19 with lucas, and now never really contacts his family.

yuta was one of the first people to ever show him any kinda of love. he was scared of it, but grateful. it felt so so good.

sicheng: i miss you

yuta: i miss you too honey

yuta: do you wanna watch the sunset with me?? it should be setting in around an hour, we can go to the park :)

sicheng: yes please :)

yuta: alright, go put on some warm clothes, i'll be there in 10 <3 charge ur phone too my love

"can i hold your hand, sicheng-ah?" yuta asked, as the two walked away from yuta's car. sicheng didnt say much, instead, he put his hand out and smiled. yuta held it with care and delicacy, treating sicheng like the prince he was, "wanna go get some food first? we got here early, it hasnt really set yet..."

"mm... i want milkshake.." sicheng mumbled, walking slowly beside yuta.

ofcourse yuta was ready to give sicheng everything, so he took the boy in the direction of a small shopping district near the sunset-watching spot, "i'm pretty sure theres a really nice place to get milkshakes and icecreams down here.. i just know it.."
