10 months later

It was clear day out with light breeze blowing and sakura trees blooming. Needless to say, with the oncoming of spring, new school semester was welcomed by children who were graduating from middle school to high school, wishing to become heroes. For today was the day they would give their entrance exams to enter their dream school - Yuuei Academy, also known as UA.

However, there was one person who wasn't as thrilled as the people he was surrounded by.

"Sai, I packed you a bento in case you got hungry. Don't accept food from strangers okay?" Tsuki's voice filtered through the addressed boy's phone as he walked through the gates at UA in his disguise.

"I know. I'm not a kid anymore, Tsuki," he replied to his friend who had been fussing over him since this morning.

"Are you sure you will come back-"

"Yes, I can come home by myself. Like I said before, I'm not a kid. You don't need to worry."

Sai studied all the various students who had gathered at UA to give their exams. He could see some old classmates of his in the crowd too.

The information broker had disguised himself by dying his hair black and straightening them out in a triple bang. He had even concealed his freckles by layering concealer and foundation on his face. The most expensive kind too. And he had also worn brown eye contacts to hide his iconic green ones. He was totally unrecognisable.

He already felt sick with the amount of enthusiasm that filled the air. He wasn't here for the same reasons as the rest of them even if he was in the same age group as all the other children.

Walking towards the briefing hall, Sai studied more of his surroundings looking for more cameras so that he could file away that information about UA's security. Just before he could reach his destination, however, he felt himself trip.

'This one's gonna hurt,' he thought as he saw the ground get closer and closer to his face.

But it all stopped and he felt himself float midair.

'What?'

"Ah, I'm sorry for using my quirk on you so suddenly! But falling before the exam would be like a bad omen, no?"

The boy looked up as he was stabilized by the other person and noticed a brown-haired girl with a kind smile cancelling her quirk to allow him to get back to the ground.

'A zero gravity quirk. Interesting.'

She gave him a beaming smile once she noticed he was alright and said, "Well, good luck on your exam! Hope you get in."

After that, she left for the hall.

Sai was stood there wondering what just happened as this kind of seemed way too out of character for general people. He wasn't so used to people being kind.

He shrugged off the interaction and instead reminded himself to thank the girl later. With that, he went inside the briefing hall as well.

_______

The person who briefed them was Present Mic. Sai didn't expect anything less from a school full of heroes, so he wasn't as surprised. But he sure was annoyed by the fact that a particular someone had ended up sitting right next to him.

He glanced at the blond, explosive boy seated to the right of him, his ever present frown on his face.

He couldn't focus on what Present Mic was saying because his thoughts seemed to have been filled with the possibility of the blond recognizing him and exposing him to the heroes before any of his plans came to fruition.

"And you, the boy in the back! If you are here to daydream then you must give up on being a hero. You are distracting others!"

He snapped back to attention to see everyone's eyes on him.

He rolled his eyes and replied, "If you have so much time on your hands to see someone five rows behind you daydreaming, then I wonder which one of us was paying attention."

After the humiliation that the glasses boy suffered, he apologized and focused back on Present Mic to answer his question about the zero-pointer robots.

Sai paid some attention but then went back to wondering if the blond next to him recognized him by his voice or not. To his relief, he was not looking at him suspiciously. The information broker let out a quiet sigh of relief and got ready to get up to go to the written examination.

It hadn't even been an hour in this facility and it was already seeming to be a long day.
