5. Explosive Blondes Are Subject To Market Risks

"Alright students! The scenario is this," started All Might while reading from a script. "You will be divided into various groups of two by picking lots and then the teams will be divided into heroes or villains again by a lot system. The villains have occupied a building and are harbouring a nuclear weapon inside. The heroes have to subdue the villains and secure the weapon. Understood?"

There were various sounds of agreement from the students and a few, Iida, raised their hands to ask questions. The rest weren't so respectful and just started asking questions without waiting to be picked on.

"How do we subdue the villains? There must be specific way to ensure we don't hurt each other too much."

"How much can we hurt the other team?"

"The lot system seems a bit chaotic. Is there a reason why we are dividing ourselves via lot system?"

"We won't be expelled upon failure like with Aizawa sensei, right?"

All Might grew a bit overwhelmed with the bombarding and asked everyone to calm down so he could explain the details.

"Alright. Now, to subdue the villains, you will be given a capture tape. It's these white ropes that I'm holding up. Once wrapped around any part of the villains, they will be considered eliminated. However, villains can take heroes as captives too with this tape. To secure the weapon, the hero team just needs to touch it. If both the villains are captured, the heroes win. If the heroes are captured, teh villains win. If you can get to the weapon without being captured or if one of you was captured and one of you touched the weapon, the heroes win. Any other questions?"

Iida raised his hand and when he was picked he asked, "Sir, if I may, why are we being divided by a lot system? It seems messy and I advice that we be divided on the basis of our quirk compatibility, weaknesses and strengths."

Before All Might could give a reasonable answer, Sai spoke up, interrupting all small conversations.

"In real life, you won't have the choice to choose with whom you will enter these situations with. Often times pros have to team up randomly to take down villains. This is just a practice of that."

"Well said, Young Fujishima!" All Might praised. "Now let's draw the lots!"

With that everyone set to pick out their lots and see with whom they would be paired. And he had gotten the brown haired girl, Uraraka, as his teammate.

But when All Might drew lots ot see who they would be going against, was when Sai decided that he was cursed for sure.

Fate never seemed to leave him alone, did it?

His team was going against Bakugou Katsuki and Iida Tenya. And by his luck, they were the first battle.

'What is even my life?' He thought dejectedly as he tiredly gazed at the overly enthusiastic girl chatting away next to him.
It wasn't like he had anything against her as a person. It was just that she was way too pure and innocent to be real. Sai had seen some pretty messed up things in his short life but they had been enough to last a lifetime. So Lord have mercy on him, he couldn't bring out the enthusiasm and positivity that his younger and carefree self had possessed.

'It's okay. Just one more hour or so. Endure it.'

With that thought he moved forward towards the building, hoping his partner would talk about strategy.

Just when they were about forty or so metres away did he realize that his partner was almost as good as a wooden log's competency when it came to strategy and planning and thus he took upon the mantel himself.
