I stood there astonished at the shocked faces that appeared when I asked them that. The new person shuffled over to his friends, looking very confused.
I don't understand why he is being difficult. If I was him, I would just answer the question.
"Well, did you?" Asked a surprised Jung as he stared at the tallboy. His light and loving aura dissipating and becoming an intimidating, dark one. As he stared the other boy down, I started to notice that they both resemble my blue-haired friend, Smurf.
"Maybe?" The unknown man said as an eruption of laughter came from the crowd of boys that arrived with him. They seemed to be close. I squinted at the group, not so far away from my spot in the meadow. I was suspicious of them already.
Gut instinct.
"Well, one of you hit me in the face with a pellet. It wasn't that big of a deal but I did bleed so who did it?" I unenthusiastically said as I imagined myself fighting this man. Sizing him up in my head. I shifted my weight to the other side of my body so I could be ready to attack if something were to happen.
A few of them turned my way and looked down at my vertically challenged soul. The guys then shook their heads before replying. I kept my eyes on the ground because if I looked into my mate's eyes I'll get hooked in again and I can't handle that right now.
"Well, we are just buddies who play with pellet guns. We have never hit anyone when we go into town and we actively try not to. I mean sure, we might break a few windows here and there. Maybe scare an occasional pet with the noise but we never hurt anybody." One of the guys in the back said.
That wasn't true, because if it was my cheek wouldn't have been damaged earlier.
I mean it didn't matter to me. I was gonna heal. But to Ty-la it was an attack on our freedom. She has a very strong desire for revenge. We wanted to hurt whoever hurt us. Hard and fast like a papercut.
"Well, I also vividly remember you guys laughing, just like you did a second ago. Soooo you most definitely did. And another thing is, I would like to say that if it wasn't for you. Then who else was shooting pellet guns around the Pottery shop when Yong See and I were in town?" I inquired seriously as I deathly stared at the now silent group of guys.
None of the boys seemed to want to answers my questions.
I just sighed. I was ready to just say forget it and go home. I had overstayed my welcome anyways and I was getting tired of meeting new people already. But Jung wasn't going to just let it pass.
"Boa. If you and/or your buddies hit someone in town with a pellet gun and aren't taking responsibility, then all of you are going into the dungeon for the night. I'm not joking around especially since that someone in this situation is my mate." Jung announced loudly to the group.
He stood there in his glory for a few seconds. After he spoke he watched the group of ragtag teens with a steady eye. I noticed Jung's handsome face clench as he did so. I'm guessing he had a bunch of pent-up anger from earlier. It seemed as if his jaw was the only thing keeping his rage-fueled words locked behind his luscious lips.
A gasp was taken before the tall boy with the familiar chuckle, at the front, spoke up. "We didn't do it though, come on bro! How were we even supposed to know that she's your mate? I have never even seen this woman." Boa stated as he tried to defend himself.
I mean, of course, he wouldn't know I was his mate. Regardless, does that give him the right to no consequences for shooting someone in the face? What if I was a human? It would've hurt me. I know they don't know I'm a weretiger yet, but I'm posing as a human so they should be more concerned.
