L E O N A

Sun goddess, Moon goddess, please hear my prayer and protect my mate. Please be with him as he goes against my ex-pack. Thank you for your kindness.

A-wan.

Jung told the doctors to keep an eye on me so I am currently in the same hospital room as before. While they go fight my ex-pack. I know their reputation but they haven't ever gone to war with my ex-pack.

They fight dirty. There is no rules in a fight. And They hate to lose.

Before he left, he hugged me and told me he'll be back soon. I wanted to keep him trapped in my arms forever. But I know that duty comes first.

My mate leaving me made me feel sad. I know he is trying to help his pack but I don't wanna be in a place that I don't know all by myself. Especially if I have a warrior mate.

I'm not that strong by myself. I heard Tyla growl.

"We are strong. We just haven't been in the real world yet. But I miss him already.' Tyla chuffed as I tried to not think about it.

"Brie. " I called out. She had just left to finish her lab tests on my blood. Hopefully, she can't see that I am a werecat.

She came with her hair in a messy bun and tired eyes. "Yes Future FM Beta." She replied with a smile.

"Can I take a quick walk to stretch my legs? I promise I'll be careful." I don't know how much I can get away with but it won't hurt to try.

Won't hurt more than we already hurt. Tyla butted in.

"I can see if that can be arranged. Give me one second." She said as my smile faded slightly. I wonder if she will let me out. This Brie chick isn't helping my cause.

So I waited. It didn't take long before she came back.

"You can but you have to stay near the pa- um house just in case since we are on high alert. Most of the warriors went to rescue the future MM Alpha back."

"Okay, I will. Promise." I said softly while twisting my two main fingers behind my back. I hope they aren't too far, I can help.

Ty-la was itching for some revenge.

So we left quickly and quietly. Being invisible all your life has its advantages.

I walked out of the door as soon as no one was watching. Before darting behind the tree line.

Ty-la took over the body, taking her time as usual.

Unlike wolves when werecats transform we keep our clothing. It becomes like a second fur under our other one and reappears when we transform back.

Some people say it's because the goddesses favored the werecats over the werewolves. But I think it's because werecats have more mystery to them.

My brown skin glistened in the sunlight as Tyla took control of my body. My chestnut brown eyes spiraled into her beautiful amber ones. My skin stretched as I became bigger and bigger with every passing second.

Becoming my weretiger wasn't painful but at the same time wasn't painless.

It happens so quickly nowadays that I barely notice that I'm changing. Her breathtaking black to white ombre stripes and a white patch on her face made her unique and amazing. There we stand together in her tiger form. Tyla stretched herself out, enjoying finally being out.

People might think that her fur makes us stand out from the forest but whenever I turn into my weretiger it seems as if no one can see us.

Running through the forest and playing in the water was her favorite pastimes. But we can't do that right now. We usually hide in a bush before anything can happen.

Getting back to the mission we zero in. Remembering how I got here Tyla took off. Usually running through the forest is such a peaceful time for us.

Wanting to help my mate pushed us harder to get there.

-
Getting past the river and three different packs was easy.

Getting into their barrier and pack warriors roaming was gonna be the hard part.

Tyla made it to the invisible line they always told us to never pass. We took in a deep breath before crossing into it. The familiar green bushes gave me flashbacks.

Sure he never hit me but he sure did love watching me walk into things. Or walking me into them. Tyla shook it off as we got closer.

Looking around to make sure the coast was clear before running through the vast forest. Searching for my mate's scent was like a safety pin in a stack of needles. There were so many smells around. His was distinct but masked by all the auras.

It smelled like death. As Tyla crept closer and closer to the pack that's all we could smell. Looking around I recognized some of the corpses of my ex-pack's warriors.

Tyla chuffs before hiding in a bush. Her eyes pierced the bruised and bloodied battlefield. it was all my ex-pack members. The ones who stood by as I got mentally and verbally abused.

I was the weakling. The runt. The black sheep.

But a human once said, "Everybody is a genius. But if you judge a fish by its ability to climb a tree, it will live its whole life believing that it is stupid." And I think those words are true in my situation.

I'm not a wolf or a fish. I'm a tiger. Tyla chuffed as we noticed an intense fight happening.

The aura was overpowering the entire battlefield. Punches after punch was thrown. I noticed my ex-beta fighting a warrior and losing. I had to find my mate though.

Moving swiftly but silently through the bushes was Tyla's expertise. We moved closer to the ex-pack house. The big closed wooden doors were the cause of my most trauma. Tyla shook us back into concentration.

I remember that the prisoner's chambers are in the back of the woods past the pack house. Flashbacks plague our mind as Tyla stays focused.

Shaking the traumatizing thoughts of us being gagged and dragged into the rough back bushes. Pleading with him and his friends as tears fill in my eyes. They didn't care and continued taking turns berating us while throwing rocks at us.

Shuddering from that memory as Tyla notices a familiar scent.

Glancing around to spot my mate beating a man. He was winning. Looking at him as he crazily beat that warrior was like looking at a completely different person. But luckily, I remember that warrior. He is one of my bullies.

Deciding if I should stay in tiger form or human was hard. Both had their advantages and disadvantages.

I could move silently like Tyla or talk to my mate as myself. But tiger form is the only way I have some type of protection.

"So tiger form is a go," Tyla said before a smile formed on her furry face.

Thinking about how to intervene was hard. Supposedly, Weretigers are taller and stronger than most wolves but that doesn't mean that Tyla and I know how to fight.

We were always seen as the human runt.

As my mate finished off the warrior we crept out of the bushes.

He growled at me.

A snarl with the wrath of fifty men came my way. We got scared and whimpered slightly. Taking a few steps away from him. He seemed to snap out of it.

Mate??
