L E O N A

As he massaged my back I couldn't help but feel as if I was taking advantage of him. Sure, he's my mate but that doesn't mean he won't reject me after I tell him my secret. Werecats are rare and super wanted here. That's why I didn't tell my ex.

His wolf may not even know yet... Tyla said. She was on low alert with all the silent questions that were being thrown in the air. I hope he didn't want to sell me after I tell him.

He doesn't seem like he would be the one to.

She's right.

Jung was amazing. It was like an angel was taking care of me. He is very good with his hands. His fingers are smooth and soft while also being rough, with memories of the hard work he does. The colorful and black and white tattoos that ran down his hands were a sight to behold. And the way they stretched all over his muscular body. He was the epitome of handsomeness personified.

Who knew that the love of my life would be an Asian god who treats me right? Crazy turn of events. I close my eyes as he gets the knots and quirks out even with my injury. He is good at this. But the silence is getting to me.

"Was the battle against the fairies and vampires hard?" I said not knowing what else to say. He stopped before continuing but painfully slow. His pale long hands felt warm against my back. I was a little ashy for my skin tone and I forgot to ask for some lotion.

"How did you know about that?" He inquired with his smooth velvety voice. I forgot that Tyla told me in secret when we were knocked out. I smiled before coming up with a quick response.

"When I wasn't feeling so good earlier I overheard a few pack members I'm pretty sure say something about them. They sounded confident that the warriors were going to beat them so I decided to ask. Especially since you had blood all over you when we first met." I said while nodding. Tyla helped me come up with the half-truth. It was mostly true.

"Oh... Okay. Well, I possess the strength of one of the best beta bloodlines to exist." Jung said with a bragging tone. I think I gassed his head up. I mean he was the cutest and very strong.

And he was a Beta?

I upgraded expeditiously.

Damn, this man was the package. Tall, Smart, and Handsome. Protective and Caring warrior who fights for his pack. He is nice to his mom and siblings. Communicates. That's a pretty good start.

"Wow, That's cool. I've heard of them. But I thought that the best bloodlines were royalty?"

"We are. Since our families are the second-biggest pack on the western hemisphere we are practically pack royalty." Jung said while warming his hands around the back of my neck. Massaging gently. "Does that freak you out?

"No!!" I sighed before letting him know the truth. Shifting so that I'm looking at him directly. I put a hand on his thigh and speak.

"Well, kinda..... It's cool but I'm a little nervous about everything now. I didn't even know this was pack ground and now I am going to be royalty? I mean that doesn't sound bad. It's just super new to what I'm used to. A lot to process."

'Especially since we were kinda broke before this.'  Tyla butted in mentally. She had been calm and collected around our mate. She wasn't complimenting him as much as she does, which is a new first.

"I know it can be scary, getting into a new situation and all. We are very wealthy people. We keep our family as safe as we can. And since you are my mate, and I'm second in command, you will be the fourth most important person in our pack." He said as I let that info seep into my mind. He spoke again after a few seconds of silence.

"You will always be my priority and our pack members will look up to you. I am of age for being beta but I won't take over until Alpha Adam does." He said as he stopped rubbing my hand.

"Oh. How old are you?" I asked since I thought he was my age. I shouldn't judge a book by its cover.

"I'm 20," he said. Shocking me a little bit.

"Wow, I'm 18," I said right before I got interrupted by a large man bursting through the door. You could hear the door lock breaking as he kicked it open. A tall bald man with a nose piercing walked in. He looked a little frantic.

He smiled when he spotted my mate.

"Jung! Great to see that you are alive since you blocked all communication, right after we got attacked." He said as he stared at him. I squeaked as I put on the silk robe that Jung let me borrow.

As I did, he was blocking me from this new pale stranger's view and spoke, "Aye, let me speak to you outside real quick." Jung commanded quickly as I wrapped the velvety strings around my waist. I was embarrassed, so I speed walked to the bathroom.

Walking on the tile so fast that I almost slipped. Thankfully I caught myself so I didn't have to make even more commotion. I wanted to freak out. I hope he didn't see our private parts. Tyla boomed through my head.

'I hope so too.' I told her as took a deep breath in. Jung was still talking to him after two minutes. I decided to hop in the tub until he got back. Just laying there, with my legs on top of each other and my tired brown eyes closed.

It was comfortable and serene. Tyla ran around our mutual headspace as I watched. She was so majestic. I am sad that I can't let her out more. She needs more outside time but I needed to keep a low profile.

I could hear the News now.

"Rarely striped Tiger with a white patch on its face has been spotted in woods.

Just as I finished that thought Tyla said. "Someone's at the door." Just as she finished the door opened and I heard my mate's footsteps walk in. "Leona. My friend wanted to apologize for his sudden intrusion into our private time."

I exhale a breath I didn't know I was holding. Before belting out bashfully, "Oh okay. I'm in the tub." Making sure no more skin was showing as I fixed my robe and hair. I stood up and pushed my way through the shower curtains that covered his expensive-looking tub.

Jung held his hand out to help me out, being cautious of the slippery floor. He must have slipped before with the way he was gripping my hand as if I was going to break.

"Hi, I've been this knucklehead's best friend, since we were little. It's great to meet you. Don't worry about me seeing anything I didn't and personally, I don't swing that way." Said the stranger with his loud booming voice.

A large bald man that stood as tall as an equally large mate grinned at me. Since he helped me out, he decided to hold my waist until I got my balance on that super wet floor.

"I'm not a knucklehead!!! You crazy bastard!" Jung growled out as my heart skipped a beat hearing it. The tall pale man bellows out a loud laugh.

"Well before you start attacking me. I came in here for a reason." the light taunting moment was gone in a second. I observed as he took an inhale in and began to tell us something that seemed serious.

"Arjun is missing. And I think that the intruder who came here's pack took him." He growled out with deep anger in his voice. He looked so nice a second ago. But that disappeared quickly. His alpha dominance was showing and it had a very thick scent. Whoever this is needs to be found as quickly as possible.
