I guess I'm not exactly the best role model

My eyes blinked open and quickly adjusted to the dim light coming from a small lamp at my bedside. Something was off about that dream, I was sure of it. The whole thing just felt so...real. Scarily real.

Jason, I knew I had heard that name before, I just knew it. He was familiar looking too. With his blue eyes and distinct haircut. And he said something about his father being a planet. Which one had he said? The moon? No, I was pretty sure that wasn't it. After all, you only try to call the moon a planet once. Believe me, the embarrassment is enough to remember in the afterlife. Anyways, I figured there was something strange about him. Whatever it was though, it was gonna have to wait.

At the current moment, I had a situation on my hands. Someone was obnoxiously bangging at the door, so loudly that I was shocked Thalia hadn't even flinched. She must have been really tired, either that or she was an insanely deep sleeper.

I pulled myself together and stumbled out of bed. The floor was way too cold against my bare feet for my liking. The snow was nice, but the night chill definitely was not cool.

As the banging continued on, I mumbled. "Jeez, I'm coming."

I whisked open the door, and standing there shivering was none other than Nico di Angelo.

"Joey, it's...well..." He looked down.

"Nico?" I questioned in a whisper. "What time is it?"

He shrugged. "I don't know but it's super early, or really late. It doesn't matter, I just...I needed to get someone and I didnt know who else to ask."

A small smile came to my face. "What is it little dude?"

"I missed Bianca, so I thought that maybe I'd go visit her. I wouldn't say anything, just look through a window or something." He explained.

"What?" I said. "Did the hunters scare you off."

He shook his head immediately. "No way...I just didn't want to bother anyone. Anyways, when I got to her cabin she wasn't there."

I raised an eyebrow. I mean, I knew that they were leaving pretty early for the quest but it couldn't possibly be morning yet. Maybe two or three am max. Still though, that's way too early for the group to leave.

"Are you sure that you didn't go to the wrong cabin, Nico?" I asked.

"I'm sure," he said. "Something seemed to be going on in there. Everyone was talking super loudly."

My glance turned to the Artemis cabin and I was reminded of the other dream I had that night.

"Come on, Nico." I said, putting my arm over his shoulder. "Let's go find your sister."

Okay, it probably wasn't the best thing to be sneaking out around camp past curfew, especially not with a ten year old kid. What else was I gonna do though? Send him back to sleep? No, I needed to help him. And besides, even if it didn't turn out to be a big problem, I could always just use the moment as an opportunity to tell the Hunters about their goddesses situation. I figured they wouldn't want to wait until morning to hear that piece of information.

So Nico and I trudged on. We stealthily checked all of the obvious places. The canoe lake, the strawberry field, the basketball court. She didn't seem to be anywhere though. We continued onward but by that point the sun was already lifting itself over the ocean. I guess Apollo had clocked into work.

As we walked past the woods, I couldn't help but shudder. I really hoped she wasn't in there. You see, back in my first year at camp I learned about the dangers of the forest. Apparently there's a ton of monsters stalking the boundary line, just hoping to get in. None of them usually made it but if someone wandered off in there...
