Your eyes shot open. What was happening? Where were you? Who were you?
Many questions flooded you mind. It was all too much. The knowledge you had acquired somehow was still there but you couldn't remember anything about yourself or your life. You didn't even remember your parents.
Suddenly, a loud, metallic burr pulled you back to reality. You searched your surroundings, frantic. What was happening? Your mind flew back to that one question. Maybe that was the only question you could actually find an answer to.
Around you were crates. The were stacked up against the four chained walls that fenced you in. You jolted upwards as the room began moving. It started ascending and you held on to the closest thing near you. A crate.
Your other arm flew to the chained wall and you held on, as of your life depended on it. It might have. You wouldn't have known.
Building up the courage, you peeked upwards. You saw that the room was swiftly making its way up to a light. A bright light.
Bracing yourself for impact, you shut your eyes tightly. A few tears escaped and ran down your pale cheeks. At the time you were expecting to hit the roof, you heard a clank and a whir. Looking up, you saw the sky.
Then, you saw there were boys surrounding the small ditch you were trapped in. Your breathing hitched and you wiped the tears that were bound to have stained your face.
"A girl?" Someone asked.
"What? Let me see!"
"Yeah, budge shank."
More of them started to appear and stare down at you. You felt like some animal in a zoo and began to cover yourself up.
"Okay, slintheads. Knock it off. Let me go get her." A voice came from somewhere you couldn't see. He sounded authoritative and scary.
You squinted up at the bright light and eventually someone hopped into the box with you.
You stumbled to your feet as he looked down on you. His eyes were grey and had blue specks that matched the sky in them. As he looked down on you, he seemed stumped.
"Ooh! Looks like Gally's speechless because he's seen the pretty girl!" The boys erupted into laughter.
"Got an eye for her, aye Gal?"
"No way! Gally's got a little crush on the Greenie!"
A grunt came from the boy in front of you and he looked mad. Really mad. He offered his hand out impatiently. Instead of taking it, you swatted it away and began climbing out of the box yourself.
With a struggle, you managed to get halfway up before falling back down into the claustrophobic box. Gally sighed and grabbed your waist when you didn't expect it. You yelped in surprise and he pulled you over his shoulder. Frantically hitting his back, you yelled, "Get your mutts off me before i actually do some damage, you lunatic!"
After chucking you off him and onto the grass, the boys made space for you. "That one's got a temper. I don't like it." He arrogantly said, looking down on you.
You composed yourself then stood up. Despite the difference between you and the boy in front of you, you hit his chest. He didn't stumble or react in any way similar. It was like he didn't feel a thing.
"Aye, just like you were yeah Gally?" A British accent came from behind Gally.
"Where the hell am I? Who are all of you?" You demanded answers. Gally rolled his eyes and disappeared back into the crowd of gawking boys. The British one stepped forward.
