We've been finally given another C Rank mission. It is 7 in the evening and me and Naruto are walking to towards the hokage's office for the information about the mission.
"So I had this new ramen at Ichiraku's yesterday...." Naruto blabs about it. Does this boy talk about anything other than ramen?
Being a genin isn't as bad as I thought. Sure the missions are lousy blah blah but I have friends. Just like I did back then. Ever since that incident I didn't actually get close to anyone. I was like Sasuke.. It was like I didn't want to go through the pain of losing anyone anymore, Sasuke is going through the same thing. He's going on a dark path, I can see it in his eyes. I am going to stop that from happening.
"Yaeko! Yaeko!" Naruto yells as I snap out of my thoughts. Turns out we were at the hokage's office already. The whole team 7 glare at me as the old man hokage asks, "Did you listen to the mission details Yaeko?"
"Yep." I lied. "But still just asking, the mission outside Konoha right?" He sighs. "Yes."
"Then can we do it a little later maybe? My mask broke in the mission in the land of waves. I haven't gotten it fixed yet."
"Why do you wear a mask though?" Sakura asks.
"I feel a little insecure without it.." I lie, I need one so that no one can see my sharingan.
"Oh, I forgot to give you this before, here." Kakashi hands me a blue mask which had really cool white markings on it.
"Kakashi, are you sure?" The old man asks with concern in his eyes.
"Yeah, it's fine." He responds. "It means a lot to me so you better not mess this one up, it will suit you Yaeko." He smiles through his mask.
"Alright you are dismissed."
We then walk out and after like three hours we stop at a random but huge house.
"Why are we here?" I ask, confused. Kakashi sighs.
"You didn't really listen did you?"
"No, not really. Now are you going to tell me why we are here?"
"We have to escort a princess to Hidden Cloud Village. We are going to run into trouble along the way but they aren't supposed to be ninjas so it will be fine."
"Ah, alright."
Kakashi knocks on the door and a minute later it is opened by a girl, probably 14 or 15 years old, short black hair and is wearing a lot of pink. "There you are. You lousy people took your time." I got an irk mark on my face. "I was starting to think you wimps got scared and backed out. You-" She then looks at Sasuke and stops all of a sudden. She stares at him which was really creepy and starts turning red, "What is your name?" She asks Sasuke.
"MY NAME IS NARUTO UZUMAKI AND I AM GOING TO B-"
"Shut up boy I didn't ask you." She yells. She glares at Naruto to which Naruto anime cries. I pat Naruto's back as she turns back to Sasuke.
"What is your name pretty boy?" She asks Sasuke again while trying to look cute. I laugh internally. Did she just call the duckbutt pretty?
"Sasuke Uchiha." He says, not even looking at her.
"Say Sasuke, wanna come inside?" She walks towards Sasuke who was standing in between me and Sakura. She pushes both of us and grabs Sasuke's hand and takes him inside. Kakashi tells us to follow her inside, while me and Naruto chuckle at Sasuke. Sakura glares at the princess. If looks could kill...
After a while the princess stops. "Oh so you guys came too." She rolls her eyes. "Well anyways, we will leave tomorrow morning. You four can stay in the guest rooms, Sasuke here will stay in my room." She grins and me and Naruto almost burst out laughing.
"Tch." Sasuke glares at us. Kakashi tells him to do what the princess says or we will be taken out of the mission.
There were four guest rooms so we each had one. Naruto and Sakura go straight to bed while Kakashi goes outside for a walk. I don't know what Sasuke's doing though considering the fact that's he's stuck with the princess. I internally chuckle at that thought, that's what the duckbutt gets for throwing me in that stupid pond.
I go out of the house to take a walk and get greeted by Kakashi.
"Why are you awake right now?"
"Can't sleep. Also I wanna talk to you about something."
"Hm?"
"The picture on the bedside table in your house, is that your team from when you were a genin?"
"Well yes..wait when did you see it?"
"Well um I may have snuck into your house yesterday when you were out training and I may have stole something as a prank.." I laugh nervously. At first he gives me a confused look and then quickly understands what I did.
"You stole my books!"
"Maybe..hehe,"
"You're giving them back."
"Fine I'll give your precious p*rn back after the mission jeez, right now could you tell me about your genin days?"
"It's not por-" He sighs. "Never mind. You are interested in knowing about my sensei aren't you?"
"Well he is the fourth hokage.." I was a little surprised when I first saw the picture, I mean Kakashi never told me that he was taught by the fourth hokage. Also the other thing that disturbs me is the resemblance the hokage has with Naruto. Could he be..
"I was on a team with Rin Nohara, Obito Uchiha and our jonin sensei was Minato Namikaze, the fourth Hokage. Our sensei was the yellow flash while Rin was a medic, and Obito, well he was stupid and reckless."
"Obito Uchiha.. is he the one who gave you the eye?"
"That's right. We were on a mission where I lost my right eye. Obito gave me his sharingan before he, died."
"I have seen those names on the KIA stone. I didn't know they were your teammates, I'm sorry."
"It's fine." He pats my head and gives me a small smile, although I can see the sadness in his eyes, I shouldn't have asked.
"You know, other than my squad I was close to two other people. One is Gai, and the other well, I think you know, the Blue Flicker of Death. Right?" He's kidding, right?! The blue flicker of death, an Anbu woman from the hidden leaf. She was given that name because once she easily killed a whole army within minutes. She was known as one of the strongest of the Leaf, when all of a sudden she disappeared about fourteen years ago and is now proclaimed dead.
No one knows what happened to her, in fact as far as I knew no one even knew her identity. The fact that Kakashi knows her, I wanted to ask more about her, who was she and lot more stuff, but I didn't want Kakashi to feel worse than he already does, so I decided to call it a night and go to sleep.
It was really late at night and I was in my room now asleep when I suddenly hear someone come in, getting startled by the noise I wake up, ready to attack whoever came in.
"Relax it's just me." I hear Sasuke's voice as I lay down in my bed again.
"So what brings you here Uchiha?" I ask.
"She was pissing me off." Was all he said as he lay down next to me and closed his eyes. I chuckle as I drift off to sleep.
Kakashi POV
It was 10 in the morning and the princess, Sasuke and Yaeko were the only ones not awake yet. It wasn't expected of Sasuke, his father used to be really strict, I guess he slept late last night. Slowly I hear someone's door open and see the princess walk out of her room.
"Where's Sasuke?" I ask, Sasuke was supposed to be in her room right?
"I don't know he was there last night.." She yawned. "Go find my Sasuke."
I somewhat roll my eyes and head towards Yaeko's room to wake her up. As soon as I open the door I see Sasuke and Yaeko sleeping. I awe at the the sight, Sasuke's hand was wrapped in a protective way around Yaeko, while she was snuggling in Sasuke's chest. For one being Anbu chief and the other an avenger, they looked so innocent. I quickly bring a camera and click some pictures before waking them up.
They both wake up and start turning red after they look at each other, I chuckle at the sight. I decide to break the silence, "Alright if you two are done I came in to tell you that we'll be leaving in an hour so get ready."
"O- uh- oh yeah-h." Yaeko stutters looking embarrassed.
