Chapter 26

Me and Naruto are headed over to get ramen after I helped him in his target practice training. On our way, we see Konohamaru looking at the Hokage faces.

"Naruto and Yaeko, hey." He greets us. "Did your academy classes start back up yet?" Naruto asks to which he replies that it hadn't since they were still fixing up the building.

"What about you two, training?" "Yeah." Things start getting a bit awkward so we decide to stay silent instead.

"I'm not sad." Konohamaru says, "I have no time to be sad." He continues, "Everyone is working hard to rebuild the village, I need to work as hard as I can for the village too." He's so sweet! I just wanna hug him. Konohamaru and Naruto start talking about who is going to be Hokage first to which I chuckle. They are both so innocent, I love it.

Naruto then takes out one ramen coupon and gives it to him. I just stare at him with a look that says 'What about me? You were going to treat me to ramen if I helped you train'. The loudmouth understood what I was saying and gave me a thumbs up. "Don't worry I have three!" Oh, thank god. Konohamaru then left with his friends and we went for ramen.

"That's weird, I knew I had the coupons with me here," Naruto rummages through his bag to find it, yet there is no sign of it. "Naruto I don't have money with me right now and if I don't get my ramen right now I swear to god-" I leave it as an empty threat, Naruto seemed to get the point.

After about a good five minutes Naruto luckily finds it, it was apparently behind his forehead protector. We ordered our ramen and had a conversation with Teuchi, that was until a random white-haired guy showed up. "Pervy Sage!" I think that is what Naruto said? His face is stuffed with Ramen. Maybe I heard something else, what kind of a name is 'Pervy Sage?'

"and I trained with Pervy Sage and learned the summoning jutsu-"

Oh, that guy. I feel like I've seen him somewhere but where was it exactly?

Naruto gulps down his ramen in a second and introduces me to him, "Pervy Sage, this is um Yaeko Natsume from my team, Yaeko, this is Pervy Sage, I met him when you were out."

"Hey don't call me Pervy Sage in front of others!" The white-haired man said. "I am Jiraiya, nice to meet you." A Sanin. I recognize the name. He is a freaking Sanin. Of course. Is he here to be the next Hokage?
"Come take a walk with me, you two." Me too? After finishing the ramen we go out with Jiraiya.

"So I present to the two of you a wonderful opportunity! You both get to join me on my research!"

"No thanks." Naruto declines him altogether to which I sweatdrop. "What kind of research?" I ask, we should at least hear him out.

"You don't wanna know Yaeko. But lemme tell you, he's the writer of the pervy books Kakashi sensei reads. So he'll do research on ya know, women." Are all Sanin's this weird? I am not sure if I ever want to meet Lady Tsunade if she's like them.
"Gross. I am not joining you either then."

"C'mon you guys, it'll be fun. Plus this time, I'm going looking for someone special." My ears perk upon hearing the word 'special'. "Oh yeah? What's so 'special' about her?"

"Well, she is going to be the next Hokage so.." I almost choke on the air. "Really?!"

"Yeah then let's go!" He starts walking as I follow behind him. I really wanna see what the new Hokage is like. And she's a woman? That's awesome!

"I'm not going. Hmph." Naruto pouts and looks away, not moving an inch away from his position. "I'll teach you a new jutsu," Jiraiya states simply to which Naruto's eyes brighten.
