18 - Curse Mark

"Hey Sakura!" Naruto yelled coming over in our direction. Today is the day. Are Chunin exams begin today. I would be lying if I said I wasn't a little bit excited.

"Good morning Naruto." Sakura said nervously. What's up with her? She seems different.

"Miyuki! I had this really cool ramen-" I stopped him in mid sentence when I felt another presence lurking nearby. I looked around but saw nothing. Right after that the presence vanished.

Probably some random chunin exam weirdo.

As soon as we reached the place we saw a huge commotion happening. Although that wasn't just it, something else was up. That's when it clicked, genjutsu. Soon after Sakura noticed and lastly Sasuke. Naruto was clueless as ever but it was kinda cute.

After that Sasuke started telling some guys to let us through and Sakura stated the fact about us being on the second floor, blah blah, I wasn't really paying attention. Although as soon as the people broke their genjutsu they tried to land a hit on Sasuke. I was about to step in but Lee beat me to it. He's fast.

After stopping the two Lee walked towards me and Sakura.
"Let's go out. I'll date any one of ya'." He gave us a wink. That's totally not what I expected to hear. But asking two girls at the same time? He's got guts alright.
"No way, I don't even know you." Sakura replied and I sweatdropped. Rock Lee put his head down so I patted him on his back.
"Next time introduce yourself before asking a girl out buddy." He then took out a notepad out of nowhere and started writing something on it.
"Thank you for the advice my love! Will you date me?"
"Sorry but no."

We were about to leave when we're stopped by Lee himself although this time he looked more serious . "I want to fight you, Sasuke Uchiha." Rock Lee said making me internally groan. Why now? Can we just get this over with, I got work to do. Although this wasn't a bad opportunity. I knew how strong Gai sensei was, I mean I trained under him myself for a while, and if his disciple is anything like him, this should be interesting.

"Challenging me knowing the Uchiha name, frankly you're a fool." Sasuke's cockiness wanted me to scoff at him. Don't underestimate your enemy, you're still a genin even if you are from an elite clan.

Naruto finally snapped from all the attention Sasuke was getting and rushed towards Lee himself. "I don't think that's a good idea-" I tried to stop him but there was no point because he wasn't listening. Naruto then tried to land a kick on Lee but ended up getting hit by 'Leaf Hurricane' instead. Definitely a move I'd expect from Gai sensei's student.

I went to check up on Naruto and at that moment the fight between Rock Lee and Sasuke started. Even though the fight had just started I could tell that at that pace Sasuke would easily loose. I knew that Sasuke figured that out too because as soon as he got the next hit he activated his sharingan. I activated mine as well and hid a little behind Naruto just in case Lee were to look in our direction.

Right after that Lee went on higher speed then before and kicked Sasuke hard making him fly above, I kinda felt bad for him, he must be thinking it's some kind of ninjutsu or genjutsu making him let down his guard against actual taijutsu.

Lee then got right behind Sasuke in the air and I squint my eyes at him. Wait a minute, I know that move, the heck Gai taught me that move too. He shouldn't use that, not right now, luckily I sensed someone familiar so I deactivated my sharingan.

Soon I saw a turtle come into view and stop Lee. The turtle started lecturing Lee and soon enough after that Gai sensei made a dramatic entry. The genins in my team started saying about how weird that was and I wanted to tell them to not say stuff like that but then I heard Gai sensei punch Lee which caused both of them to cry and hug and apologise to each other. Alright that was definitely weird.
