Part 17

You hear your phone ring and notice that Luke is calling. You left him a message earlier today saying that you need to speak with him. "Hey, um... I know about what happened." Luke says. "Michael told me a while ago, he sounds really pissed. I'd like to hear your side though." You try to stay calm and not burst out in tears. "Luke, I didn't know what I said wrong. He's supposed to be my best friend. I don't get why he doesn't understand. I mean-" "Y/N, he told me you gave your virginity to some guy you barely knew. And I think that pisses him off the most." You bit your lip, contemplating if you should tell Luke. "It was a lie." You spat out. Luke gasps. "What?!" He says. "Yeah I mean, I just wanted to see his reaction. I didn't think it would go as far as this! I don't even know why he's making such a big deal out of it!" Luke tsked at the end of the line, and you could perfectly picture his disapproving face. "I'll see what we can do," he starts, "but now Michael is staying at some hotel nearby. And honestly, it's really funny when you two fight. It's like the end of the world for both of you." He chuckles. "I'll see you soon Y/N. For the meantime, just don't lie anymore." You laugh. "Thanks Luke, bye." As you hung up, you decided to do a movie marathon by yourself and just ignore everything else, even if your mind keeps on bugging you about Michael and Niall. You made yourself some popcorn before putting in The Fault in Our Stars, the movie where both you and Michael cried for the first time... and you let yourself drift asleep.
