You stood there for a while, thinking of how to process the situation at hand. You finally face the reality that you are in fact, in love with Michael. But seeing him with Victoria makes you retract your feelings for him. Consequently, making you fall in love with Niall. You didn't know what to do, to be honest. So you again, dialled Luke's number. "Y/N!!" He greets excitedly. "What have you guys been up to?" "Shit's been up, that's what." You answer. "Umm... What happened?" He immediately says, his voice genuinely laced with concern. "Well, first Michael and Niall got into a fight because um... Well, I was kinda making out with Niall in our room..." "So that's why-" "but for the record," you cut Luke off, "it was in my bed, not his. Plus, he left to help Victoria with 'something' so I'm guessing it's fine to ask Niall to drop by." Your voice was dragging when you mentioned Victoria, but you hope Luke didn't notice it. "Damn it, you two..." He starts. "It's so entertaining to always hear both of you complaining about each other! Stop it. You guys are best friends. Ever since both of you went to Uni and started meeting new people, the more times both of you have fights." "But...-" "Don't you remember those times during band practice, you always, ALWAYS stand in front of Michael and do silly faces just to distract him?" Luke says, cutting you off. You let out a light giggle, remembering the days. "Don't you remember that time when Michael was getting really mad at the whole band and you just sat there, laughing at him?" Michael really was mad during that time, he was fuming with anger because Calum and Ashton won't practice properly, and he's getting some lyrics wrong. You just laughed at how he was shouting at everything they do. When Michael approached you, you just bopped his nose with your finger, and started laughing again. "Oh Mikey, you're so cute when you're mad." You said. After a few seconds, you heard Michael's husky laugh. "Do you also remember that time when you had a boyfriend, and Michael didn't talk to you for a week?" Luke continued. "Are you starting to see a pattern here, Y/N?" You nod, even though Luke can't see that some tears have escaped your eyes. "Michael loves you. He always has." You bit your lip to prevent them from trembling. "Luke, I..." "And I know you're in love with him too. Take a chance and stop resisting Y/N." You nod again, "thank you, Luke." You say. "Anytime, Y/N. I'll see you soon." He replies. With that, you hung up the phone and ran as quickly as you can back to the dormitory. Michael is already sleeping when you got back, and his back is turned to you. You slept at the upper bunk of your bed, whilst Michael is on the lower bunk of his bed. You fell asleep that night with a sudden burst of thoughts about what could happen next.
