"Michael, please." You try to say calmly, but Michael's glare looks like it could kill anyone. "You. Get out." He says at Niall. To your surprise, Niall stood up tall against Michael. "Make me." He says. Michael was going to make a punch on Niall's left jaw, but he immediately caught it even before Michael's knuckles hit him. Niall immediately threw Michael's hand back. "Michael. Please stop." Your voice now shaky, "it's fine. Okay." "It's not fine!" Michael shouts, lunging towards Niall again, only to be greeted by a sharp blow to Michael's eyebrow piercing. Blood splattered on the floor. Michael's blood. You quickly rushed towards Niall and held his arms in place. "Niall, stop. He's just trying to protect me." Niall glares at Michael. "I've had it with this guy, Y/N. He keeps on messing stuff between us!" You look at Michael whose hands were on his bleeding eyebrow. "Niall, I'm sorry. Okay, but I would have to bring him to the clinic. I won't tell anything about what happened today. Just please, no more." Niall looks over to Michael and sneaks a quick peck on your cheeks. "I'm sorry babe." He says, leaving. You nod slightly before going down on your knees to help Michael. "Michael." You say, "I'm sorry." You hurriedly get up and grab a freshly laundered towel and carefully dab it into Michael's bleeding wound. "Forget it. All I want to do is to protect you. Why can't you see that? I love you, Y/N..." Michael looks at you straight in the eye as you feel your heart sink. "Like a brother loves a sister... or a friend loves a friend. ©" you shook your head slightly, saying sorry one more time. You help Michael on his feet and help him make his way to a clinic. When he arrives, you tell the nurse that he bump his piercing on the edge of the door when he got home. You refuse to tell everything because you feel it'll just lengthen the whole situation. When Michael exits, you see his wound completely sanitized and patched up. "I'm so so sorry..." You say again, hugging him. He hugs you back lightly. "It's okay, Y/N. What's done is done. I just want you to make good choices, okay." "Niall is a good choice." You counter. "He's not." He replies casually. "I don't want to fight about this anymore, Michael. Please, just let me be." You say. "Okay..." He says, raising his hands up in frustration. "But don't come running to me when he breaks your fragile little heart." He added, leaving you standing outside the hospital.
