Part 29

You spent the next few days with your family. Having been an only child, both your mum and dad missed you a lot. Now you're heading to the beach with the lads. You only have two more days before you fly to Ireland to meet Niall. Ashton is the designated driver, as always. Calum took the shotgun seat, whilst you sat between Luke and Michael at the back. "I'm so fucking excited!" Calum says, "haven't been in the beach for quite a while." He adds. "Hey don't swear." Ashton chastised. Calum laughs, whilst Luke slightly bumps your elbow. "He can't stop talking about you all the time." He whispers. "I can hear you, Lucas." Michael says, smirking. "What... It's not like I'm lying." He counters. "I'm not saying otherwise." Michael says, "I'm saying that she doesn't need to know." You slightly punch Michael's chest... and realized he's still as flabby as he was when he left. "I do need to know." You smile sardonically. "No you don't," Michael replies, punching you back. "Anyway." You brush him off, "how's you and Victoria?" "I told you it's nothing serious, Y/N. We haven't talked since I left." Michael looks away. And you instantly feel guilty because you haven't actually told Michael that you and Niall have been exclusively dating. "How about you and Niall?" He said it like he knows you're thinking about it. "Uhh. Ummm..." You couldn't find the words. "Well. Um. Yeah we're okay. I'm seeing him after two days." You slip that off, but Michael seems to have been listening intently. "Two days?? You're going back to Melbourne? Classes don't start until a week and a half." You bit your lip. "Niall's taking me to Ireland." You say. "Whoa, whoa..." Ashton suddenly talks, "why didn't you tell us?" "Well um... I just don't want you guys to worry." Ashton tsked and continued driving. From your left, you could see Michael shaking his head and clenching his jaw before Calum finally announces your arrival at the beach.
