Hanna's POV
"Um, wow. Hanna, I already have plans." Nate said smiling sheepishly.
"With?"
"I already planned to take Hayley out for a date. It's all I can do, I mean any guy would want to spend time with his girlfriend after a year." He said smiling.
"Oh. Hayley's your... Girlfriend?" I say looking down.
"Oh right! I forgot to tell you about that!" He says laughing.
"Oh, okay... I have to go, Danny wanted to celebrate his business spreading internationally..." I say awkwardly. Although we celebrated that last year...
"Okay, bye!" Nate yells happily as I skate away.
Time skip to school office!
"Ms. Edwards, why are you leaving early today?" Principal M. asks.
"Oh, my brother's business expanded from the 50 states to all over the world." I say calmly.
"Okay, I'll give you the homework in a bit..." Principal Marano says looking through the homework bin, aka the bin where incase students have to leave early teachers drop off the homework in. I grab the homework and walk out of the school, swiping my school exit card.
I hummed as I walked home. Hehe.. That pebble looks like a cat. Ooh... That cloud looks like a baby sleeping on a mule. Nate has a girlfriend. Shut up, mind! That cat looks like a rat. Nate has a girlfriend. Gr....
I slapped myself, causing little kids to stare at me.
"What you looking at?! I ain't a normal freakish chick! IMMA THUG, LIVING THE THUG LIFE!" I say punching the air. The two kids giggle and point at me.
"Mommy, look! It's a thug living the thug life!" One of the kids yell.
"A THUG!? GET AWAY FROM MY CHILDREN!" The lady yells. Fine, fine, no one respects thugs like me.
I continue walking home and when I finally reach the house, I immediately open the door. There are balloons placed neatly in appropriate places and my mom holding a cake smiling. I see a huge banner with giant blue cursive words that spell out "Welcome Home, Banana!"
"Banana...?" I say with furrowed eyebrows.
"We asked Danny to send what the banner's supposed to say. He doesn't have the best handwriting." Brianna said snorting. Danny glared at her, then Brianna smacked his head. Whoa, how'd she reach his head?
"Anyway, WELCOME HOME HANNA!" My family yells. I smile and rush to my room. I change to my pajamas and sigh. Girlfriend, huh? I come back downstairs and was about to grab some food from the little buffet my mom set up, until she smacked my head.
"Ow... What was that for?!"
"You can't be wearing that! We are having a party for you, inviting everyone we know!" Mom yelled.
"Whoa, party? I'm too tired!" I whine like a three year old.
"Well, you did cut out of school early because of something we already celebrated a long time ago! So consider this as your punishment!" Mom yells smacking my head again.
"Fine." I say rolling my eyes as I walk back to my room.
