(Chapter 10) Saved by a Crab

Hanna's POV

I woke up to a marimba tune. Oh, it's my alarm. I let out a yawn and walked to the bathroom. I brushed my teeth and played around with my hair.

"Meh, I'll just curl it."

I carefully parted my hair and curled the leftovers. I did this repeatedly until all my hair was curled. I braided small parts of my hair for accents. I sighed and chose an outfit. I'm now wearing a Red Valentino Jacquard Empire Line Dress, IRO Efia Jacket, Fairytale Off-Screen Darling Flats, a Gold Change of Heart Watch, and White Triple Feather Drop Earrings. I added a Pink Lace Bow headband for an extra touch.

Why a lot of pink? Well, I heard that if you look adorable, people can't say mean things. I got that from a subway hobo. He's wise. He asked me if he could borrow my charm bracelet so I gave it to him. He ran away with it. Don't worry, I know he'll return it. He probably got lost. Yeah, that's the reason.

I can't help but be nervous. What will people say? Do they even know that Brad dumped me before Aussie Hottie came? Will I loose my popularity? What will people think of me? Tons of questions ran through my mind so quickly that I couldn't read them.

I sniffed a strange scent. I went outside of my bedroom to follow that scent. The smell intensifies as I go to the kitchen. I started coughing madly as I follow.

"Mom, 'cough' what's that smell?" I said with a raspy voice.

"Sweetie, I'm making crabs for dinner! I have to make it early since me and your father are going to work soon." She replied with a smile. Crabs?! She soon became pale and froze as she stared at me.

"Honey, are you coughing?" She asked cautiously.

"Crabs... Mom. 'Cough'" I whispered.

"Oh shit! I forgot!" Mom yelled. I started breathing quickly as I noticed my pale skin.

"PHIL!!! DANNY!!! BRIANNA!!!" Mom yelled. They soon came in a snap and stared the crabs in the pot then at me.

"Crabs..." They muttered in unison. Man, that was awesome! They could read minds! They're like superheroes- Not now Hanna we are in a dangerous situation.

"Honey, why crabs!" Phil- Dad yelled as he coughed.

"I don't know! It slipped my mind! I wasn't thinking! I'm sorry!" Mom replied in a panicked voice with tears in her eyes.

"Not the time to talk!" Danny yelled.

"Hanna! Get your inhaler." said Brianna. I nodded as I ran to my room. I went through my emergency drawer and found my inhaler. When I clicked the button, nothing came out! I sped down the stairs and ran to my family. Dad already had his inhaler. He finally stopped coughing and turned to me. Mom has got rid of the crabs but some of the smell was still there.

"It's empty!" I whisper yelled.

"Hospital now!" Mom and Dad yelled in unison. Am I the only one in the family that doesn't have any powers? That sucks.

Hanna, your a moron.

No I'm not.

You do realize your in a life or death situation right?

Oh yeah. But superpowers are more important.

Hanna get in the damn car!

But I want superpowers.

You know... If you get in the car, you won't have to go to school...

To the space shuttle!

I ran to my parents white Range Rover and buckled my seatbelt as the car sped to the hospital. I forgot to say something. I have asthma. And right now I'm having an attack.

(A/N Ooh... Plot twist!)

I coughed madly as we were driving. I breathed terribly and had a sour throat. I easily get asthma attacks by crabs. That's why I don't get to go to the beach. Or seafood restaurants.

"Dad hurry." I whispered.

"This will only take about half an hour." Dad replied. My jaw literally dropped. Half a what?

"Hanna, my poor baby! Mommy's sorry." Mom told me as she hugged me.

"It's okay." I whispered to her hair.

Here's the seating order. Dad is driving while Danny's on the other front seat. While I'm sandwiched between Brianna and Mom. Danny is trying to not worry and failing at that. Brianna is currently taking selfies. Stupid, I know. Mom is trying to do her weird yoga breathing stuff to relax. Weirdos.

We finally reached the hospital and went inside the emergency room.

Time skip to going home...

"Sweetie, you have your new inhaler?" Mom asked. I nodded back as I opened the front door.

Danny and Bree luckily don't have asthma. But my dad does so I got it from him. For some weird reason, his attacks are less severe than mine. But I don't care.

(A/N Sorry if I'm getting some of the attack symptoms wrong. Had to google it)

I'm a little angry that I didn't get to wear this outfit. Oh well, I'll just take it off and wash it for tomorrow. I only need to wash the dress anyway.

I looked at the time and it said

12:34 pm

Yeah, we ate lunch at Boston Market so we took long. I walked to my room as I sighed. I guess it's time for a bath? Jacuzzi! Yeah, that's right! I have a freakin jacuzzi in my bathroom.

I put the water on and let it go to its heat setting. I watched it fill the jacuzzi half way. Time for bubbles! I grabbed my rose scented bubble bath and poured it in. I took my basket of rose petals and grabbed a handful. When the jets helped the water turn foamy and bubbly with a slight pink, I sprinkled the petals.

I took my clothes off and put my body into the water. Ah.. So relaxing. I played with the bubbles and made crazy hairdos.

Since my phone is now in its waterproof pouch I, of course, used my phone.

45 minutes later...

I pushed the drain button as I got out of the jacuzzi. I rinsed myself in the shower to get rid of the bubbles.

I dried myself with a towel and put on a robe. I grabbed my Gradia Slouch Sweater, White High Waisted Shorts, Rag Bone Leather Harrow Ankle Boot, a Cape Knot Bracelet, and a Cord Feather Charm Necklace.

I put my hair into a fishtail braid and curled the leftovers. I looked in my reflection in the mirror. Hm.. Good enough. I put on a light salmon lipstick.

Rumble.

I'm hungry. I walked to the kitchen to see two, business men well one's a woman. And a recognizable figure.

"Nate?"
