Chapter 2

I prepared myself for my visit with Ladybug on the Eiffel tower. My mind fills with the possibilities, what are we going to do? Why did she want to do this again? Usually she doesn't agree to hanging out after fighting villains, especially if we didn't even fight a villain beforehand.

I start pacing around the room, filling my head with thoughts on how tonight will go.

I look down at my watch to check the time, "ok Plagg, I guess it's time to transform '' I say, not even trying to hide how nervous I am.

"Plagg! Claws out!"

~Transformation~

I pinch myself before I jump out the window, making sure that I'm not dreaming again. I parkour over to the eiffel tower. I see Ladybug already sitting on the edge just like in my dream. I take a deep breath and walk over to her. "Hey M'lady" I said to her. This time I'm hiding because I'm nervous.

"Hey Kitty," she says to me. I sit down next to her. I yawn in a very obviously fake way, then put my arm around her. "Soooo what are you planning on doing tonight, are you going to take me on the most romantic date ever?" I said with a smirk.

She smiles a little but keeps a straight face. "Uh oh, I know what that face means," I say as I frown a little.

"Look Kitty, I did enjoy last night"

"But?" I interrupted her.

"We can't do this, we're superheroes. Plus you know about the-"

"The guy. Ya I do but if he hasnt realized that you are perfect and that he wants you, then he must be very stupid"

She smiles a little

"You know Kitty, I don't deserve you"

I smile at her then look down.

"It's getting late, I better go," she says and gets up.

She starts parkouring away before I can answer. I let out a sigh.

The next day I go to school, I don't try to hide my disappointment, as I pass by I can see people looking at me with concerned faces. Usually I try my best to seem happy and cheerful but today I just don't have the energy.

I head into the classroom and notice Marinette looking down at her desk. She doesn't seem very happy today either. I head to my seat and sit down next to Nino without looking up.

For the next hour I don't listen during class at all. I focus on everything that happened the other night, for a moment I try to pay attention to the teacher but it doesn't last for long. I don't know how I'm going to get over her. Before I met Ladybug I had never felt love before, or at least not this kind of love. All of a sudden I hear the bell ring. I get up out of my seat and begin walking out of the classroom. As I step outside I look around and see a group of kids throwing a ball around. They pause and wave at me "hey Adrien! Wanna join?" one of the kids said.

"Hey guys, no thanks, maybe another time" I answer back then keep walking.

I start leaning against the school wall looking around. Eventually my eyes stop on marienette, she's sitting on a school bench, sketching in her book.

I can't help but keep looking at her. The way she looks so peaceful just attracts my attention. I think back to this morning when she looked just as depressed as me. I wonder what happened to her to make her feel that way. I keep staring at her until I get a notification on my phone. I take my phone out of my pocket and turn it on. Instead of noticing what the notification was I noticed my lock screen. It was Ladybug, I looked back at Marinette then back at my lockscreen. I never noticed how much they looked alike before. The hair, the eyes, her smile it looks exactly like the features I fell in love with. Suddenly I see Marinette pick up her phone and look at it. Almost immediately after she closes her book, gets up, and walks away.

I wonder what was on her phone. I hear another notification on my phone, it's an akuma alert. As I get to a spot where no one would see me I start to wonder if that's the notification that Marinette got.

Finally I find a spot where no one will see me transform.

"Plagg, claws out"

~Transformation~

I get my stick out so I can find the villain. I extend my stick ready to jump but right before I do my head fills with realization that I'm going to have to face Ladybug again after last night. Instead of landing on top of the building I fall off my stick and land on the ground. "Great! That's just great, I'm really enjoying today" I say sarcastically. I start to hear the sound of laughing coming from around the corner, I sit up to see Ladybug. She looks like she's crying from laughter. I frown even more.

She walks up in front of me and holds out her hand, offering to help me up. I look at her hand then look away. I jump up on my feet instead of taking her hand. "Hey Ladybug" I say with a cold tone.

She looks surprised, like she didn't expect me to be a little mad. Honestly I didn't even know why I was mad, I was just taking my anger out on her.

"Oh uh hi.. Cat Noir" she says back.

"Look i-" I was about to apologize for being cold but I was interrupted by a dark cloud hovering over us.

I look closer at the strange cloud and realize it's a bunch of pigeons close together.

"Oh youve got to be kidding me" Ladybug and I say at the same time.

"Ok you know what to do" Ladybug says to me

I nod back. At this point it felt like we've fought Mr.Pidgeon like 50 times.

We both parkour to our usual spots and do our same routine.

Almost like 30 seconds later we were standing beside each other on the ground, beside us is Xavier Ramier looking around confused.

"I think that was a new record" Ladybug says smiling.

I smile a little but switch back to a straight face right away.

She looks a little disappointed, "look cat noir... I know it might be a little awkward between us right now, but I hope eventually we can go back to normal.. Be- because I don't think I can live without the Cat Noir I'm used to" I can see a tear forming in her eye.

I continue looking down, not knowing how to respond without crying a little.

She lets out a sigh and starts to walk away. I grab her hand quickly "wait" I say to her, not knowing what to say next.

"What is it?" she says to me, trying to hold back tears.

"We didn't pound it," I said to her.

She smiles a little and holds her fist up. I start lifting my arm but it's harder than I thought it would be. I grab her waist and pull her close to me. I lift my arms and put them around her. She buries her head in my chest and I rest my head on hers.

She puts her arms around me as well. We stand there hugging each other, saying nothing.

We don't move for a solid minute, even though it felt like I could stay there for an eternity.

Eventually we let go and look at each other another time. I hear her earrings chime, "well uh... I guess I have to go now" she begins to step away, but I grab her hand. She turns around to look at me, I step close to her. I hover over her, and look down to see her staring up at me with big eyes. I grab her chin and pull her close to my face. I give her a gentle kiss as my hand is on her jawline, using my thumb I slowly brush against her cheek in a soothing way.

After a few seconds I pull away and let her go. "Goodbye... Bugaboo'' I say. She's still staring at me with her big eyes. Her whole face looks red from the blushing. Finally I extend my stick and start to jump away but right before I leave I look at her again and give her a flirty wink.
