Chapter 8

"Ughh that was exhausting" I say to Ladybug as I watch her turn back to Marinette.

We had just fought the most annoying villain of all time. "I know, luckily it's over now." she says back.

"You know, I have a little time left before Nathalie should be checking on me," I say with a smirk.

She smiles a little. "I'd love to spend more time with you but I have plans, I have to help tutor someone" my smile changes to a straight face.

"Who?" I ask her, trying to think of someone we know who might need a tutor.

"Luka" my eyes widened. The thought of them spending the afternoon together gets me upset. I act ok with it so she doesnt think I don't trust her.

"Oh um- ok then, have fun" I say to her.

I jump back out her window and parkour back to my place. I transform back to Adrien as I hop in my window. I sigh and fall onto my bed. "I cant believe shes spending the afternoon with him"

I say out loud.

"Oh my god Adrien... have you seen the way you guys act around each other, some weird blue haired dude won't ruin that" Plagg says to me.

"I know I know, but I still don't like it," I say back to him as I cross my arms.

"You know what I do whenever I'm upset?"

"You eat cheese?" I answered him.

No, I eat chee- oh is that what you said? Ya I do that, you should try it"

I give him a look. He rolls his eyes and grabs his cheese from my cupboard.

I see a notification pop up on my phone, it's on messages. I click on it and I see it's from Marinette. "Look at the comments on Alyas new ladyblog video" it says.

"Ok?" I send back. I pull up the ladyblog on my computer and click on the latest video.

"Hey guys, I have discovered more evidence that could lead us to Ladybugs identity, continue watching to find out." I hear Alyas' voice start. I pause the video and scroll down to the comments. I see a bunch of comments saying things like "what if ____ is Ladybug" or "I think ____ is Ladybug" I continue scrolling down, knowing none of those people are Ladybug. I'm about to continue scrolling until my eyes stop on one comment. "You know Marinette kind of looks like Ladybug" I read off the comment. I text Marinette back. "Don't worry, i'll handle it"

"Thanks Kitty, i'd do it myself but I'm a little busy right now"

I send her a heart emoji and go back to my computer screen. I reply to the comment, "haha imagine, she'd probably trip over the akuma or something" I type in a joking way, making sure that whoever sees it would remember that Marinette's too clumsy to be Ladybug.

20 minutes later I get a text from Marinette again. "Ok I just saw your comment and don't get me wrong, I'm grateful and stuff but jeez.."

"Lol, sorry M'lady but I had to find some way to say it without sounding suspicious" I type back to her, smiling.

"I know Kitty, thanks again"

"No problem, so are you free now?"

"Well, I guess I have some time," I smiled as I read out the text. I can see her smirking as she wrote it.

"You wanna come over?"

"Sure" she sends a winky emoji after the text.

I know I wasn't able to have friends over at my house before, but my father made an exception for Marinette. As long as all my work is done of course.

I send a thumbs up to her and drop my phone on my bed.

I sit on my bed, on my phone as I wait for Marinette. After 10 minutes I hear the sound of the gate opening, a smile appears on my face. I decide to hide behind my bedroom door to scare her when she comes in. I wait for a few minutes and the door starts to slowly open. "Adrien?" I hear her soft voice on the other side of the door. I see her look around from the crack between the door and the wall. "Boo!" I yell as I jump out from behind the door. She screams and jumps back, lightly hitting the wall with her back. I move closer to her and pin her against the wall, "hello, M'lady" I say as I move my face closer to hers. She blushes and little then playfully pushes me away. "You're so annoying," she says, giggling.

"Oh come on, you know you love me" I say , smirking at her. She smiles at me then turns around and walks around my room. "Soooo what do you want to do?" she asks me as she's still walking around my room.

"I meannn, no one should be checking on us any time soon sooooo '' I hint to her.

She looks at me, considering it. I look back at her with wide puppy dog eyes.

"Nah, I'm too tired for that" I relax my eyes.

"Ok then" I realized after I said it that I sounded a little disappointed. I'm really hoping she doesnt think I am because I honestly don't care.

I walk up behind her and put my arm around her shoulder. "So what do you want to do?" I ask as I lean into her.

She looks around, thinking about what we should do. Her eyes stop at my video games. I watch her eyes widen. "Lets play video games!" she calls out, excited.

I smile at how excited she sounds. "Ok Bugaboo" she walks over to my collection of video games and starts picking one to play.

We play the game for almost an hour and a half, until Nathalie comes in and says that it's time for Marinette to go.

"Bye ki- I mean Adrien '' she says forgetting that Nathalie's still in the room.

"Bye Mari!"

I put the game away and walk over to my bed. I sigh, I wish she could've stayed longer.

I relax on my bed for a while before getting ready for bed. I hear a chime on my phone, I grab my phone and check to see what it is. "Luka couffaine requested to follow you" I see on my phone.

"Seriously, I literally can't get that guy out of my mind" I think to myself. I swipe up on my phone and accept the follow request, I click on his account to follow him back but I get distracted by his photos. His latest photo is a selfie of him and Marinette from today. I frown. The photo shows Marinette smiling and waving to the camera, holding a lot of papers. I focus on her a little and notice myself getting more relaxed. My eyes turn back to Luka and my relaxation goes away. He seems to be holding his guitar. "Why does he bring that everywhere?" I say out loud.

"Well you bring your ring everywhere" Plagg says to me.

"Ya that's different, I need it to save paris. He needs his guitar to tell them their 'melody' I say back to him.

"Right right, good point"

I continue looking at his posts. There's one of him playing the guitar and another one of him with a group of friends. I move back to the one with Marinette since that's the only one I care about. I see that under the photo it says "2 comments"

I click on it and read the first one. "Ooh she's cute" I see that a girl named Lily was the one who commented on it. I smile a little at it. "I agree '' I say out loud, slightly laughing at my own joke. I see Plagg roll his eyes in the corner of my eye.

I look down at the other comment "you guys look so cute together" my laughter disappears. I turn off my phone and put it on my table. I turn around in my bed and roll my eyes. I don't understand why he bothers me so much. He's worse than Chloe. Usually I try to see the best in people and stay positive, but something about him makes it hard.
