Me and my Princess

Chapter 4

I woke up this morning with a plan and pulled out a note that I wrote last night.

"Everyday I smile at the thought of you.

With your hair as dark as night,

And your eyes so deep and blue.

I think I've found a way for us to be together without a disguise.

Meet me at the top of the eiffel tower, right around sunrise."

I read off the note outloud and cringe but put it in my pocket anyway, knowing theres no time to think of a different one.

When I arrive in class, I take the note out of my pocket and drop it in Marinette's bag. The whole class, I watch Marinette,  waiting for her to find the note.

Eventually she finally pulls out the note at lunch. I watch as she reads it, her eyes widen more and more after reading each sentence. She stuffs it back in her bag and acts like nothing happened. Feeling my eyes on her, she looks over at me and I wink at her, in a friendly way. She looks away from, hiding her face.

At the end of the day I transform into Cat Noir and head out to the usual spot.

I set up candles and put on background music. I look down at my watch, "5:36am". I look at the sky and see the sun starting to rise. I wait a moment, a little nervous that she won't be coming.

Finally I see Marinette walking up the stairsteps. She looks around, she looks amazed at what I did with the candles and music. I step around the corner, making myself visible.

"Hey Marinette"

"C-Cat Noir??" she stutters, sounding shocked.

"Yes, are you surprised to see me?"

I walk up to her and bend down to grab her hand and kiss it. She blushes a little and pulls her hand away.

"You're the one who wrote that note?"

"Well yes, but no." I say back to her.

She looks at me, confused.

"Technically Adrien put the note in your backpack" I say to her.

She looks more confused now. She stands there thinking about what this means. Eventually after a few minutes, her eyes widened.

"Wait, does that mean-?"

"Yes.... You're not disappointed are you?" I asked her quietly, nervous for what she could say next.

"Well no of course not.. But why are you telling me?" I can tell she already knew the answer, but was hoping that there was gonna be different words coming out of my mouth. 

"Because I know who you are... M'lady.."

Her eyes widened more. "B-but how?" she asks to me, shocked.

"Dont worry about it, but don't you get it? Don't you know what this means for us? This whole time we were in love with each other and we didn't know. We can finally be together."

"Wait, how did you know I liked you- or Adrien?"

"Come one Bugaboo, I'm clueless but not THAT clueless" I say to her jokingly.

"I don't know about this.. We aren't supposed to know each other's identity"

"Ok well... can't we spend the rest of the night together, I've set up the most romantic date you've ever seen. Then after we can visit Master Fu and he'll tell us how to forget who we were."
