Chapter 23

Marinette and I are chilling in her room the next morning when her mom calls us from downstairs,

"Adrien! Your bodyguard is here to pick you up!" She informs us. We looked at each other disappointedly, even though we knew it was coming. I sigh as I stand up, gathering my already packed things. She stands and walks towards me, "Well bye Adrien, I'll miss you." She says looking down.

"You know I'll see you on Monday right?" I giggle at her.

"Ya but still, this was really fun. It sucks that it has to end."

I pull her into a hug and she wraps her arms around me. We stand there for a few moments until I eventually pull away. I watch as she turns around and sighs, "well goodbye then."

"Uh, I think you forgot something.." I chuckle at her, she turns back around and faces me. Her body close to mine, our faces almost touching. I gesture up at the ceiling and watch as she looks up at the mistletoe that I'm holding above us.

"Seriously?" She giggles a little, a smile now on her face.

"What? It's a christmas rule! Now you have to kiss me." I smirk at her, She rolls her eyes at me.

"Finee, but only because it's a tradition." She smiles at me.

She grabs my face and pulls me in, smashing her lips against mine. Our tongues gently touch as we hold each other close. Once again, to our dismay, we pull apart.

"Ok M'lady I actually have to go now." I chuckle at her. She smiles and nods, letting go of me. I turn around and open the trap door, slowly walking down the steps.

"Adrien wait!" She says quickly before I close the door. I turn to her quickly.

"What is it?" I ask her, alertly.

"You forgot my gift." She smiles at me as she hands me a pair of fluffy handcuffs. I laugh a little before taking them and stuffing them in my bag.

"I love you Princess." I say to her before closing the trap door and walking down the stairs to meet with my bodyguard.
