Part 3: Chapter 15

"Adrien, Do you take Marinette Dupain-Cheng as your lawful wife, to have and to hold, from this day forward, for better or for worse, for richer or for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and cherish until death do you part?" the priest asks, looking over at me

"I do" I say, without hesitation.

"Marinette, Do you take Adrien Agrest as your lawful husband, to have and to hold, from this day forward, for better or for worse, for richer or for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and cherish until death do you part?" the priest repeats, as he turns over to Marinette.

"I do." she says back, smiling at me.

____________________________3 days earlier_____________________________

Day 1:

"Maybe he gave up."

"Or he's planning something really big."

"True, and he's just wanting us to let our guards down."

"OOH! Maybe he died! He did seem pretty old."

She glares at me as I smirk at her. "Kitty! This is a serious conversation!" she says, pretending to be irritated.

"And I'm being serious, you can't tell me he sounded young!" I emphasise the "young".

We laugh together.

Soon our laughs fade and we sit here in silence, it was a nice silence though. She places her head on my shoulder as we look at the sun that just began setting, we were sitting on the eiffel tower (in our usual spot). We had been in our superhero forms, since we just got back from patrolling. I enjoyed patrolling with M'lady, we don't get to do "superhero stuff" together very often since Hawk Moth hasn't been akumatizing anyone.

"I don't understand.. Why would he just stop?"

"I don't know Bugaboo.. But I do know that I'm not complaining." I say with a big smile on my face. She grabs my hand and holds it for a moment, until she looks down at my watch.

"OH MY GOD" she yells. I jump in my seat, not expecting a reaction like that.

"I'm guessing it's late?" I ask her, already knowing the answer.

"It's 9:30!" she says to me, sounding stressed. I have to say it surprised me too, I knew it was late but I didn't know we had been sitting there for that long. Before she can jump away from me I grab onto her hand. I get onto one knee, still holding her hand in mine. Her eyes widened down at me, "Kitty?"

I kiss her on the hand and smirk as I look back up at her. She rolls her eyes at me as I get up.

"Seriously, Kitty?" she says, crossing her arms.

"What?! I can't let you leave without a proper goodbye."

She giggles a little and jumps away from me. I let out a sigh and smile as I watch her jump off, I stay there until she's out of sight. I get a memory of back when I would have been sad when she had to leave, but now I see her everyday.

Finally I head back to my house and transform back as I jump through my open window.

Before Plagg can perform his normal routine of whimpering and pretending to be weak because of his "lack of cheese", I throw a piece of cheese to him. He catches it immediately and quickly gulps it down.

I glance at the time, seeing that it's late. Usually when I get home I'm tired, but tonight I feel wide awake. I decide to take a quick shower before heading to bed, I remove my shirt as I step into my bathroom.
