Chapter 7: Into Twins Past!

Green hill zone - Sonic and Tails' house - 3 Days After Twins Arrival

Twin was sitting on the couch at Sonic's place, he was deep in thought about what the Time Eater had said to him yesterday. The Media was going crazy about the events of yesterday.

"Just yesterday afternoon, Station Square was violently attacked by creatures the likes of which we never see before! Luckily enough we were saved by Sonic and his Friends with a newcomer that goes by the name of Twin the hedgehog, who earlier that day helped save Sonic defeat the evil Dr. Eggman, were on the scene to help defend Station Square from the Lava Creatures." The Mobian dog on the news stated. "But the real question is What were those Creatures? Where did they go? And most important, Who is Twin the hedgehog and where is he now?" The Mobian Dog on the News asked.

Tails turned the T.V off and we see Twin siting on the couch with Sonic and the Gang looking at him, "Twin, who are you, and how do you know these creatures?" Sonic asked

Twin stayed silent, So quiet that if Shadow was here he would lose his cool!

"Fine" Twin replied and he looked at them "I'll tell you guys my story but please listen because I'm only gonna say this once ok. If you want to know we first need to go back, back the day before everything changed."

Flashback

Place - Crisis City/Cyber city - The Day before the arrival of Iblis

'Before Iblis came, my home was called cyber city and it was beautiful the buildings were sleek and clean And the sky was clear almost everyday I was only 10 years old at this time, my father was a police officer who wielded powers, like any kid at the time I was enjoying the life I had.'

"Make sure to be back before dark Twin sweetie" a Female hedgehog shouted to Twin

"Yes mom!" young Twin shouted, we see a 10 year old Twin just leaving his home to go out and play, he was laughing while running up a hill to his favorite spot in the whole city, when he got there he looked out over the beauty of his home.

'I was so happy and my life was perfect. Until one day everything changed.' Twin said with sadness as he remembered the day like it was yesterday.

The next day. . .

Twin was woken up by a scream and the young hedgehog quickly got out of bed and ran to his window to see what was up, as soon as he opened it he saw panic in the streets as creatures made of lava and fire were destroying everything. Twin screamed and ran to his parents bedroom.

"MOM, DAD WAKE UP THERE ARE MONSTERS ATTACKING OUTSIDE!" young Twin yelled

Twins parents got up confused then they looked outside and they both got into serious mode, Twin's mom immediately grabbed Twin and with his father leading the way ran to the front door!

When they got out they were spotted by Iblis's minions and they started to chase the hedgehog family. but when they turned a corner they saw that there was debris blocking the road to the safest area and the only way through was a hole only big enough for Twin to go through, the two hedgehog parents nodded, and Twins mom places the young hedgehog on the ground.

"Listen carefully Twin. You need to go through that hole to safety, you should be safe once your through." His mother told him.

"But I don't wanna go without you guys!" Twin said in sadness

"You must! Take my rocket shoes son they will be one of your keys for survival." His Father told him as he took off his rocket shoes and gave them to his son Twin. "Now you remember the fighting moves we practiced with how to use a homing attack, as well as hand to hand combat right?" His Father asked the young Hedgehog.

The young Hedgehog nodded.

"Good, if your ever found by these creatures use the rocket shoes and when needed, self defense. Never give up, and never stop running!" Twins Father told his son.

"Now go!" Both Parents shouted.

And Twin ran through the hole to the other side until he looked back and saw his Parents getting in a fighting stance as the lava creatures got closer and closer!

"MOM, DAD!" Young Twin yelled and he turned around to run back to his parents with his arms outstretched.

Both his Parents turned around with sad faces "Goodbye Twin" They both replied with sadness.

"NO!" Twin yelled and his Father used his powers to close the hole. "NO!" Twin yelled in slow motion as the hole was sealed and he stopped and started to pant.

Place - Green hill zone - Sonic's house

"I was so grief stricken that I just ran like they told me to, 6 years later I was making a run through the city trying to find a new place to stay when I encountered the Time Eater and now I'm here. I lost it all my home, my family, my friends, everything I loved was just gone." When he finished talking he suddenly burst into tears!

Sonic and the others looked at Twin with worry and shock that he had gone through that when he was very young. Sonic walked up to him and pulled him into a hug, Twin returned it still sobbing from the memories that were brought back.

He then looked at the other and They all nodded,

"I'm sorry for your lose Twin, we all are here for you as friends. But I promise you we'll defeat the time eater, then we will go to your home and help you take down Iblis once and for all!" Sonic reassured him

"Yeah!" The Others (minus Shadow who still was off doing his duties as a G.U.N agent) replied.

Twin looked up at Sonic then to the others

"R - R - Really?" Twin said with tears still in his eyes.

"That's what friends do." Sonic replied

Twin stopped crying tears of sadness and then cried tears of joy and smiled, "Thanks you guys so much."
