Mineta's Cousin (Reader Insert)

Suspicion

Today was Friday and it was now afterschool. Y/N And Mineta were walking out of the school. He noticed that she was zoning out.

"Y/N? You okay?" He asked but got no answer.

Y/N's POV

My mind was running 6000 miles per hour as I remembered the conversation with Mr. Aizawa.

'What is my father's quirk? My mother, how could I not know anything about them'

'I don't even know what my father does or if he's even a CEO.'

'If Mr. Aizawa has to talk to me about that, does that mean my dad did something?'

'I've been asked alot about Mr. Eta and My Father, it's as if he-'

I felt a nudge and turned to Minoru.

"Yea?"

"You were zoning out again," He said.

"Oh, sorry, just deep in thought," I said smiling a bit.

He didn't seem to convinced. I let out a small laugh.

"I'm okay, really."

He stared for a moment before nodding. We continued to walk down the street towards our home.

I saw something in the corner of my eye and stopped.

"Whats wrong?"

I turned and saw turquoise eyes. I suddenly felt a sense of realisation and I needed answers.

I dropped my bag and my legs started moving in the direction.

"Y/N!" I heard Minoru call out but ignored him.

I chased after the figure that seemed to disappear around every corner.

I stopped in the middle of a random street and looked around.

"Where did he go?"

My head suddenly snapped straight ahead. Then my legs started moving in their own again.

"WAIT!"

I reached out my hand to the figure that disappeared as soon as I touched him. My eyes widened. Suddenly everything went black.

'What the?!'

I looked around in the dark space.

'No need to panic'

I turned and saw this figure in a coat.

'Who are you?'

'A friend of your father'

'Why-why do you seem so familiar?'

'Because we've met before, when you were very young'

'How do I not have memory of.... You, I think I would remember.'

'So he took that route after all'

'What are you talking about?!'

'Most of your memories... They're fake.'

My eyes widened.

'HOW!?'

'No need to yell, but I can see why you're upset'

' A random man spouting bullshit.'

My breathing got heavier. Before I realised he knew things about me. I wasn't going to let this opportunity go.

'What about my quirk?'

'I'm not allowed to tell you that'

'Why not!'

Suddenly there was a loud noise.

'Welp, times up.'

'What? What do you me-'

I saw trees, I looked around and realised no one was there. I was in a... Park? Or...

"Escuse me?"

I turned around to see a police officer with a flashlight.

"Aren't you suppose to be home by now?"

"Oh uh sorry, I lost track of time," I nervously laughed. He eyes me suspiciously.

I looked around to realise I have no fucking idea where I am.

"Uhh, actually I'm kinda lost."

He seemed to sweatdrop, "Alright, come on. I'll bring you to the station, we'll call your parents."

I hesitated before nodding. I followed behind the officer as we headed to the station.

I was sitting across from his desk.

"Is this the Mineta residents?"

"Yes, I have Ms. Y/N L/N here with me," The officer said, he nodded, "Alright."

He hung up the phone and turned to me.

"Just sit tight, your guardian is coming for you."

Third Person POV

The officer went to his paper work but glanced up at the girl every so often.

She seemed to be tense and nervous.

"Are you alright?"

"Huh? Uh yea," She said smiling.

Not that much time wnet by when a very worried Aunt came through the door.

"Y/N sweetheart!" She yelled pulling the said girl into a hug,"I was worried sick!"

"Sorry Auntie," The apology was muffled.

Ms. Mineta turned to the officer and bowed, way too many times, "Thank you for finding her!"

"I-it's alright ma'am," The officer said.

"Let's go home," Ms. Mineta said before walking to the door. Y/N followed behind her.

"We're back," Ms. Mineta said. Minoru wasted no time in coming downstairs.

He was genuinely worried and scared for his cousin.

"I brought your bag home, are you okay?"

Y/N nodded before heading upstairs.

"Aren't you hungry?"

"No."

She changed out her clothes, turned off the light and flopped onto her bed. She let out a sigh before sitting up and taking out her phone.

Her finger hovered over the familiar contact 'Father'

She pressed it and held the phone to her ear. It rang and rang.... And rang.

"Of course... He's busy," She muttered hanging up the phone.

'I haven't spoken to Shinsou in a while'

She scrolled through her messages before coming across his name.

You : Hey Shinsou.

Shinsou💜 : She lives...
Are you okay?

You : I'm alright, I was
wondering if, maybe tomorrow
you wanted to hang out?

Shinsou💜 : Suddenly you're bold
sure, what time?

You : At the Mall, at around 12 I
guess.

Shinsou💜 : See you then ❤️

She felt heat rush to her cheeks before smiling.

"Okay.... Time to try and sleep," She mumbled, turning off her phone and rolling onto her side.
