*The next day*

Ivory's POV:

I was required to stay a night at the hospital wing to make sure I was fully recovering. Draco never left my side and sat beside my bed the whole night. Hermione walked in, her face lighting up with relief when she saw me awake. "Rory! How do you feel?", she asked, her voice full of concern as she rushed over and hugged me tightly.

"Hey Hermoine, better I guess.", I mumbled, feeling a little overwhelmed by her embrace but grateful for it.

"I'm just curious what happened.'', I said, pulling back slightly but still looking at her with worry. "Because I was really enjoying the Yule Ball until I started to feel funny."

"So are we, darling.", Draco replied, his hand gently resting on my cheek as he looked at me with a soft, protective gaze.

"Wait you guys don't know what happened either?", I frowned at them. Hermione looked over at Draco, her gaze lingering for a moment before she looked back at me. "We only saw you collapse. It all happened very fast.", she explained.

I sighed, feeling a sense of helplessness. "Well, how can we find out?", I asked, my tone growing more desperate as I looked between them.

There was a brief moment of silence, and in that space, everyone seemed to exchange glances, each of us feeling the weight of the unknown. Then, the tension in the room grew palpable, as we all silently glared at one another, unsure of what to say next.

Hermione took off her necklace, and I raised an eyebrow, confused. "I might have an idea...", she said, her voice steady but filled with uncertainty.

"Wait, what are you doing? What is that?", I questioned, my eyes narrowing as I tried to make sense of what was happening.

"It's a time turner.'', she explained, her fingers carefully holding the delicate hourglass-shaped pendant. "It can be used to travel through time."

Draco looked just as confused as I felt, his gaze flicking between Hermione and the Time-Turner. "Wait, what?", he muttered, clearly stunned by the revelation.

I blinked, piecing it together. "That's how you manage to get to all your classes on time, isn't it?", I asked, realization dawning on me. I always wondered how she could manage to do that in such a short period of time.

''Yes.'', she nodded.

"So, you think this can help us figure out what happened to Ivory?", Draco asked.

Hermione hesitated for a moment before answering, her eyes flicking between us. "It might be risky, but it's worth a shot."

"Well, come on Granger, what are you waiting for?", Draco impatiently hushed.

Hermione took a deep breath and put the time turner around both of their necks. "We will be back soon, darling. Don't worry.", Draco said softly, kissing my hand before he and Hermione prepared to leave.

With a determined look, Hermione twisted the Time-Turner, and the room around me seemed to shift for just a brief moment. Before I could blink, Draco and Hermione vanished from my sight.

The silence in the hospital wing felt even more pronounced now. I sat there, my heart pounding in my chest, anxiously awaiting their return.

Draco's POV:

Granger had this time turner thing. I've heard of it before, but I wasn't aware that students could obtain it. This was the only way we could find out what happened to Ivory.

The experience was strange, almost surreal. We were back at the night of the Yule Ball. The room buzzed with music and laughter, people dancing and celebrating. But we knew something no one else did, that something terrible was about to happen.
