Ivory's POV:

Two hours had passed since we arrived at Hogwarts, and still, I hadn't seen Draco. His trunks were on his bed, which meant he was definitely here, but he was nowhere to be found. I had already visited his dorm multiple times, but each time, it was empty.

I wandered down the hallway again, hoping to catch a glimpse of him, but all I saw were students getting settled back into their routines. The longer I went without seeing him, the more my worry began to grow.

*An hour later*

Draco's POV:

I stared into the mirror, my reflection a mix of exhaustion and sadness. The weight of everything that had happened over the summer pressed down on me, and no matter how hard I tried to push it aside, the pain remained. My emotions felt out of control. Thinking about how my own father treated me still traumatizes me. I'll never get that image out of my head.

Suddenly, I heard a quiet voice from behind me, calling my name. "Draco...?"

I quickly splashed cold water on my face, trying to steady myself, to push away the tears threatening to fall. I wiped them away, took a deep breath, and fixed my hair as best as I could. The last thing I wanted was anyone to see how vulnerable I really was.

Turning, I saw the familiar figure of Ivory standing in the doorway, her concerned eyes searching mine. "Draco?", she said softly, her voice filled with worry. "What's wrong?''

 "What's wrong?''

Ivory's POV:

I was running out of places where he could be. Hermione helped me search around the whole school, but eventually she gave up. The sound of my shoes tapping against the cold cobblestone floor felt deafening in the empty, echoing hallway. The top floors of Hogwarts were always a place most students avoided, especially with the chill in the air and the eerie presence of Moaning Myrtle haunting the area. But I had to find him. There were no more places left to search, and my worry had turned into desperation.

As I neared the boy's bathroom, I heard something soft sobbing noises. The sound was haunting, and it made my heart race with anxiety. I hesitated for a moment, but I couldn't walk away.

"Hello...?", I called softly, my voice barely above a whisper. The bathroom was silent for a moment, and I wondered if I had imagined the sounds. But then I heard it again, louder this time. I stepped cautiously into the room, my eyes scanning the area, uncertain of who I might find. The flickering light cast long shadows, and my nerves were on edge. I should've asked Hermione to come with me.

"Draco...?"

I was a few meters away from him. He turned around when he noticed it was me. Draco's eyes were filled with sadness, and his usually composed expression was broken. I could see the vulnerability in his gaze, something he rarely allowed anyone to see. "Ivory...", he whispered, his voice tinged with shock.
