Ivory's POV:
It was finally time to spend Christmas with the Malfoys. His father had send their driver to pick us up at the Hogwarts gates around noon. He was already waiting for us when we arrived. Draco helped me with my luggage, placing it in the trunk before settling beside me.
"Good to see you again, kid. You're growing up so quickly." the driver remarked, glancing at Draco through the rearview mirror.
"You too sir." Draco responded politely.
"And you must be...?" The driver turned his attention to me with a curious expression.
"I'm Ivory, Draco's girlfriend sir." I said, offering a proud smile as I glanced at Draco, who gently held my hand.
"Beautiful girl, lovely to meet you!" the driver responded warmly.
"Nice to meet you as well, sir."
Draco's POV:
I didn't want to worry Ivory, so I tried to push aside my own concerns about having to introduce her to my parents. As we started driving, she rested her head on my shoulder.
"Draco, do you think your parents will like me?" she murmured, her voice soft with uncertainty.
All the worry I had just pushed away was back in an instant. I was already dreading the moment where she would ask this. Because to be honest, I wasn't sure if they'd accept her. My father, especially, had strict views on pureblood lineage, something I had never considered important. After all, I hadn't even asked Ivory about her blood status.
"I think they'll love you." I replied, offering what I hoped was a reassuring smile. Her expression softened in relief, but internally, I was still filled with dread. It was a lie, perhaps, but I needed to comfort her. She smiled back at me before drifting off to sleep.
*An hour later*
Ivory's POV:
"We're here, darling." Draco whispered, gently shaking me awake. A wave of anxiety washed over me, and I couldn't understand why I felt so nervous all of a sudden. The driver was already unloading our bags, carrying them inside.
Draco held my hand tightly, "Come on, princess. Stay close to me."
We stepped into the manor, which was nothing short of massive. Narcissa came down the stairs and gave her son a hug. "Draco, my boy." She hummed.
Draco pulled back as he introduced me. "Mum, I want you to meet my girlfriend."
My shyness quickly resurfaced. Narcissa, however, was quick to pull me into a hug before I could even extend my hand. "You must be Ivory. I've heard so much about you!"
"Oh really?" I asked, glancing at Draco with a mixture of surprise and curiosity, the smile on my face betraying the nerves I was trying to hide.
"Draco talks about you in almost every letter he sends me my dear. But he hasn't told you that, has he?" The kind smile she had on her face while looking at her son, warmed my heart.
"Mum!" Draco's face flushed with embarrassment. Narcissa and I both chuckled at his discomfort. This moment seemed to ease some of Draco's anxiety about returning home.
"You write about me, Draco?" I asked teasingly, however I felt my cheeks flush.
"Well, he used to. Didn't you son?" Narcissa said looking over at Draco.
"Uhm yeah." He muttered.
Used to? Why doesn't he anymore? I wondered what he had and hand't told his parents about me, about us. He had never talked about it.
