Ivory's POV:
*Christmas morning*
We all sat at the dining table, enjoying a big Christmas breakfast the house elves prepared for us. Narcissa asked politely, "How do you like it here so far, Ivory?"
"Feels like home..." I slightly smiled at Narcissa who kindly nodded at me, "Glad to hear."
After we finished our meals, we moved over to the living room. Draco turned on the fireplace. The scent of freshly burned cedar wood reached my nose. Narcissa lit some candles, which smelled like mahogany apples. The whole sphere around the manor changed in just a second. It did feel like there was still some tension between Lucius and Draco which never seemed to disappear.
I reached out my arm to grab my cup of tea from the coffee table. My hands were a bit shaky, and I accidentally knocked over the cup. "I'm so sorry, I will help clean.", I stuttered embarrassed.
Lucius let out an annoyed sigh, while Narcissa quickly called Dobby over to clean it up. "Don't worry, it's only tea."
The carpet was stained. I felt really guilty. My parents would've killed me if I did that at home. Dobby came over with cleaning supplies. "Mrs. Greenwood..., it's really you!", he gasped surprised.
My eyes widened. "I'll do it, you can go.", I said. How did Dobby still recognize me? The last time he saw me was a long time ago, when he was still around our house a few times a week. He presented me with the towels. I gave Dobby another stare, letting him know not to speak, and to leave the room. Draco remained silent during the entire situation, but then left the living room. I bend over to clean the carpet. It took a good 3 minutes to get the stain out.
I felt my sleeves going up, revealing a bit of my arm. I quickly pulled it back down again when I felt Lucius's eyes on me. It looked like he wanted to say something when I got back up but Draco walked back in just in time. Lucius cleared his throat and excused himself.
*A week later*
I woke up to see Draco already packing our trunks. I stretched my arms and sat up straight. "Babe why are you packing already? It's 08:15 am." I looked over at the clock. He gave me a familiar look. His eyes were filled with fear again. "Something wrong?" He shook his head and continued to pack.
"Draco please, come here." I extended my arms towards him as he walked up to me. I felt that he desperately needed a hug. "Didn't you have a good time?", I asked rubbing his back. "It never felt like home here.", he said.
I pulled away and cupped his cheeks, "Listen to me Dray, I'm here with you and I'll always be. Until the very end, remember?"
"I love you darling." He gave a kiss on my forehead.
*Going back to Hogwarts*
The driver took Draco and me back to Platform 9 3/4. We looked for an empty compartment. All the way at the back of the train, there were some empty seats. I sighed as I sat down. "What's the matter love?", Draco asked, putting our trunks on the shelves above.
"Nothing, just... it's so crazy that we are already starting year 6 when we return."
"I know right. Time goes fast, but not fast enough...", he replied.
"What do you mean by that?"
"Well, just another two years at this pathetic school. Doesn't seem so exciting to me."
"I can make it go faster."
"Are you going to skip class and run away? Or are you able to travel in time?", he chuckled.
