*Few days later*
Ivory's POV:
I woke up with the weight of Draco still draped over me, his head resting on my chest like I was his personal pillow. For a moment, I smiled, he looked so peaceful. But then I glanced at the clock.
My stomach dropped.
"Draco, get up! We're late!" I shoved at his shoulders, but he didn't budge.
"Good morning, princess." he mumbled, a lazy chuckle rumbling from his chest as he wrapped his arms tighter around me.
His voice, low, rough with sleep, made it hard to stay mad. But I didn't have time to melt into it.
"I'm serious. We have to go!" I pushed harder, urgency spiking in my voice.
He groaned dramatically. "I don't give a fuck if I'm late, Ivory."
"Well I do!" I snapped. "So get off me."
He tilted his head up to look at me with that infuriating smirk. "What do you say?"
"Draco." I warned, my patience unraveling.
"Please." I added stiffly, because clearly that's what he wanted.
Finally he let go. I bolted upright, already reaching for my robe, tying it with shaky hands while sweeping my hair into a bun that could only be described as aggressive.
"You look beautiful." he said like nothing was wrong.
I didn't even dignify him with a response, just grabbed my bag and moved toward the mirror. That's when I saw it, another mark on my neck.
"Draco!" I groaned, yanking at my collar to hide it. "You left a mark again."
"Are you surprised?" he said smugly from the bed, watching me through the mirror with that same damn smirk.
"Or are you just worried your little Mudblood friends will see?"
I froze. My fists clenched at my sides before I turned to face him fully. "We talked about this." I said through gritted teeth.
He rolled onto his side, completely unbothered. "Yeah, yeah. But it's still true. Potter and Weaslebee might pass, but Granger? Please. And if you're defending her, that's just pathetic."
"You promised you wouldn't do this." I said, anger rising to my throat. "You said you wouldn't hurt me by going after my friends. And here you are, again."
"Oh come on, babe. It was just a joke."
I shook my head, fed up. "Very funny." I muttered bitterly, turning and storming toward the door.
"We've had this conversation so many times." I said more to myself than him as I left.
"I'm sorry!" he called after me.
"Fuck you!" I shouted without looking back.
His laugh echoed down the corridor. "Ooh, not very friendly."
Draco's POV:
I thought she'd laugh it off. She usually does, throws in a snide remark, maybe rolls her eyes, but this morning? She wasn't having it. Not the jokes. Not the teasing. Definitely not me.
By the time I found my robe, crumpled under the bed from the night before, she was already gone.
I sprayed a quick hit of Dior Sauvage on my neck and muttered a curse under my breath. Late. Again. Not that I gave a damn about potions, but I did care that she was pissed. Ivory rarely iced me out, but when she did? It burned.
I strolled into class, thirty minutes late, just in time to catch the annoyed twitch of Snape's eye.
"Decided to join us, Mr. Malfoy, in the last twenty minutes of the lesson?" he sneered as I took the empty seat beside Ivory.
