After the talk with jay I felt myself calming down once more. I knew I needed to act more together if I was going to be here in the agency with millions of spies who know what to do and I didn't want to make myself look bad but also as my grandfather was the guy in charge I couldn't make it look bad for him either.
I kept looking down. I was scared if I looked at someone the wrong way, they would think I was going to be a problem or I was here to do something dangerous and I didn't want to get into trouble. My grandfathers voice brought me back into reality. " okay, here are your ID pass. You need to wear these all the time so do not and I mean do not take it off." We both looked down at it, they already had pictures of us. Jay and I both looked at each other and back to our ID cards. " how do you already have pictures of us ?" Jay asked looking at My grandfather with his eyebrows up, Grandfather just laughed and put his hand on jay's shoulder and just casually stated" we have everyone's files here in the USA and more. It's not difficult, you'll understand more when I get you tracking down everything for this case."

It had been months since then Nothing had really happened, we had been shown around and then brought into the this base with a bunch of computers and  taught what to do with them even though  Jay already knew. Jay hadn't been like himself recently as we kept having the same lessons over and over again for my benefit but every time we would come into this room that glint in his eyes was back, it looked like he belonged here. Before this all happened I didn't understand why he acted such a way when it came to this type of thing with the hacking and the computers, but now that I do know it makes me smile knowing even though he hasn't seen his mother for years they was still connected by this love and interest.
But the feeling of happiness drifted away. I thought about my family back at home. I hadn't know about any of this stuff I couldn't connect with this like Jay could or anyone else in this building . I didn't belong here. Doubts started to fill my mind. Was it right for me to come here and leave my mother and father without them knowing if I was safe and okay. I didn't have time to really think anything more as a bunch of people all dressed professionally came fast walking into the room all going to computers.
" we need to find them now! If we don't we might be running out of time." A girl who looked around 18-19 with long curly strawberry blonde hair tied up into a high pony and some black jeans and a grey top said while placing herself at a computer and typing away as fast as a Cheetah.
" Rosie what is going on? What's happened is everyone okay?" I saw my grandfather move his way to the girl and pull out a seat next to her, once again it made me think of when me and jay first started this, and when I found out about him knowing about the agency and when we both decided to do this plan.
" No Mr Phillips. Those idiots have done it again! One minute my crew is all fine and dandy and we are working our way into the building and the next thing I know the cameras crash in the van the microphones are all disconnected and two of MY team members are missing!" The girl from before who I now know is named Rosie said. You can tell she was frustrated by how fast her talking and breathing got but no matter how much emotion she was showing she never once stopped typing, clearly she really cared about her team and wanted to find them. But now I knew that the whole disappearance of the spies was still a main problem here like it was years ago with Jays mother.
" Wait, they struck again? In plain sight and no one noticed or saw what was happening ?" My grandfather said standing up and looking at everyone's faces. Behind his eyes I could tell he was struggling to find a plan that would help solve this matter until his eyes landed on us.
"Jay! I need you to get on that computer next to Rosie, I want you to hack into the CCTV on the street where this took place. I'm sure Rosie won't mind telling you the coordinates. Lacy! I want you to go with Mrs Jennings to go get your things ready so you can out with Mason here to go back to the building and look for some evidence."
We both nodded and immediately jumped into action. Jay smiled at me and made his way over to where he was told to be and got to work with Rosie, while I was ushered out by Mrs Jennings she gave me caring smile. By looking at her I could tell she was in her mid thirties. Without any words she lead me down the hall into a room.

And just like that, I was thrown into the world of being a spy without any combat training , any information. I was given nothing . Just the clothes  handed to me and the weapons I didn't even know how to use.
