couple of weeks had passed since Jay and I had found out about Amanda. Rosie had closed herself off again and acted like she never told us anything. Even though it did kind of hurt that she wasn't willing to show everyone she trusted us, it made sense. We didn't hang out before everything so why would we hang out now.
Jay had tried to find out more information about Amanda and about his mother too.
I hadn't been told if he had any luck with any of it. Everything had calmed down, Mike had started to leave me alone and just come to me about missions and training other then that we both kept our distance.
It had been a hard and long day of training. Even though I had been on the frontlines and had to use a gun for the first time Already I still had to learn more about everything. I had been walking from the weapons unit to my room I was then stopped by Mike.
" listen, I know we aren't getting along recently after what happened. But I just wish you would let your parents explain. Even though I don't agree with what they did or anything just listen to why they still care and worry about you. You might not understand now but you will when your older." I just nodded and continued my way. I hadn't really thought about the main reason why my parents acted the way they did. I mean sure my mother had explained why she had kept it a secret and all that but I still didn't see her side.
Hopefully I can when I solve all this. Maybe then I can solve my family problems.Shutting the door I pulled my shoes off and immediately went to my bed. I felt exhausted the amount of running and jumping and using a gun and other things was stressful. I wasn't used to it yet and it really took so much out of me. " hey. Tough day huh? I found out some information." My head looked over at jay.
And it was only then that I saw how upset he looked his eyes was red. He had been crying.
" what did you find out .." I was hesitant to ask because based off the reaction he had to the information it might of been bad news and I don't think even myself could handle it.
" it's about my mum. Her account is active thankfully. Unlike Amanda she has daily updates on trying to solve her case. The last update was last week. They are pretty sure they know where she has been taken." He looked down and I heard sniffles and I saw his shoulders start to move. Once again he was crying. Thankfully it was good news we was so close to finding his mother. I walked over and wrapped my arms around him and tried to calm him down.
" this is good. You might be able to see her soon, all this will be worth it Jay. Everything we've been through to get here and the things that's happened here will be all worth it."
He nodded and once his breathing calmed down and he pulled himself away we started to talk about Rosie and Amanda.
" so still nothing about her?" I said feeling disappointed. I wasn't disappointed in Jay not at all. I knew how bad he wanted Rosie and Amanda to be reunited, I knew he couldn't be blamed as he had little to nothing to work with.
He shook his hand and signed, doing his nervous tick,he ran his fingers through his hair. " No. nothing. I don't get it, if she was such a good agent and such a big aspect to the team why aren't they trying to find her? I mean based on what Rosie told us she seemed to be fun but also sensible when needed."
Jay had a point. Rosie had made Amanda out to be such a good person and a good agent. It just didn't make sense as to why the whole agency didn't seem to remember or talk about her even though they make the whole disappearing of the agents such a big thing.
" we have to tell Rosie. She needs to know, Maybe she can give us some more information and maybe we can find someone else who is willing to help and trust us?" I said hope filling my chest and I'm sure you could tell by my eyes. Jay nodded," just don't get your hopes up Lace. This might be just a dead end."
We was looking for Rosie. We began walking around everywhere. We had to ask someone for help they then told us she was outside.
Walking out we saw her sitting underneath a big willow tree.
" hey what you doing outside?" I said trying to ease our way into a conversation. I didn't want to immediately go into the situation. She just kept looking down at the grass.
" I needed to clear my head. What are you doing here? I thought you had training I had suspected that you would be having a nap by now." When she had mentioned a nap it was as if my body had really realised how tired it was still. I felt weak and wanted to just lay down under the tree and sleep. "I will. Eventually, but we have something we need to talk about" jay nodded and took over and started telling her everything he told me.
Rosie didn't once cry or get emotional. She kept her calm and collected face on like what we had said didn't effect her at all. " okay. So you're saying that you still can't find out why or figure it out at all. I told you guys everything if need be ask others about her. Jay congrats on finding your mum. I hope you are reunited with her soon. I have some meeting I need to go to but thanks for the update. I'll try and do things myself too. Help take the work load off." She got up wiped her the grass of her jeans and made her way into the building.
