"Can't say that it's a pleasure to see you here"
Zeke addressed Erwin. Once he had realised the commander was here his face hardened.
Is he jealous?
Y/n couldn't stop the small smug smile of amusement forming on her face which caught Zeke's attention. For the second time today, he gripped her jaw.
"Anything amusing?"
She didn't want to say anything stupid or act out as it would only get Erwin into more trouble than it would her. Not able to stand the sight of Zeke himself, Erwin remained calm with smiliar thoughts in mind. He didn't want to make things worse for her.
Zeke signaled for his guards to tie the pair up. Y/n nodded at Erwin before they were seperated and taken different ways. Zeke went with Erwin and one guard with y/n.
"How tall are you?"
Their face was covered so she couldn't see them but their height did not skip her eyes. She thought to try set off the guard and see if he would do anything.
"No wonder you're in the position you're in right now. Erwin should've just minded his own buisness"
wait...
The voice was familar. Y/n knew who it belonged to but she kept his name out of her mouth.
"You both should have, why are you here"
of all the scouts
"Just be grateful I'm down such a dirty place"
"No, leave. I didn't want any of you getting involved"
"It's a bit too late to tell me that now"
He opened the cell and lead y/n in before chaining her by the ankles. She sighed as the man was here now, there was nothing y/n could do to send him away.
"Glasses is working on the government"
She nodded. They both knew the higher-ups and government were involved in all of this with Zeke.
"The two guards that walked past was us"
so then...
"Wasnt what you thought it was but if you want to talk about it, let's talk about you two"
Though she'd not been with the scouts for a while, y/n wasn't blind. She could tell the two were quite close, even if they didn't appear so from a distance. The man infronr of her was simply too much of a coward to admit it to himself.
"You lack a lot of balls for someone so short"
"And what's that supposed to mean?"
Y/n gave a deadpanned look to tell him to stop acting oblivious as she wasn't buying it.
"Shut up before I chain your arms too"
She would've continued to insult his unwillingness to confront his feelings but she knew she had no room to do so. The guard saw her in self question. He thought they'd be here a while so they could talk. Y/n reminded him of himself, he sensed they were quite similar and so was willing to open up to get her to.
"My mom died on the night of The Black Burnout too. I don't know who the government wanted but everyone else was collteral"
Y/n knew exactly who they wanted. The reason they staged a fire that her town suffered the most at. But hearing it wasn't only her people that passed that day upset y/n. Zeke and Grisha really didn't care for anything else other, they stopped at nothing to get rid of her town.
