Along with Erwin and Hange, Levi sat at a table in his office.

"How is she?"

Erwin questioned Hange as she had tended to y/n's wounds as soon as the two got back.

"She just finished eating. There was only a few deep cuts but she should bounce back by the end of this week"

"I see"

"Also, Levi, she wants to speak with you. Don't ask me what for because I don't know"

"About time"

Levi whispered to himself as though he knew what y/n wanted to talk about. He got up and his way to the room y/n previously stayed at. It wasn't given to any new recruits after she left because Erwin kept onto the thought that she might return. Hange simply couldn't bring herself to empty out the room. Even Levi played his part by constantly keeping it clean. He thought about the amout of times he did so as he knocked on the door.

"Door is open"

He let himself in and closed the door behind. Levi took a look at y/n on her bed. Her arms and legs were bandaged but the majority covered by the clothes she wore.

"You look like shit"

"Feel like it"

She removed her hood.

"Hange said you wanted to talk to me?"

"Should I stay?"

It didn't take Levi long to understand the context of y/n's question. She was a nomad, wherever war took her was where she stayed. He knew was asking him if she should settle down here with the scouts..

"If you chose to stay, what would you do? I'm sure you're aware you can't exactly fight our battles without joining the scouts. You'd no longer be constantly on the move so laws here would apply to you aswell. Can't stomach that?"

Y/n saw the slight smug smile on Levi's face and knew what he was getting at.

"I can't no"

"You can't or you won't? You're still stuck in the past and we both know it's time to let it go. It's over. You have a chance to start fresh, take it"

She let Levi's words sink in and thought it couldn't be as bad as she dreaded. She she still hated this regiment but the few exceptions might make her stay worth it. Y/n sighed feeling a headache come on at the thought alone.

"I'll slot you in for the next group of new cadets in 5 days"

"I have to go through rookie training??"

"Yes, you aren't special"

"And you're a bitch"

"I'd say as so I'm told but people get the general idea of what's installed for them if they decide to let me know. Consider yourself one lucky mother fucker"

"Speaking of luck, someone as boring as you is lucky to have Hange"

"Would you look and see who's talking that shouldn't be. It's been a year and you're still on square one"

"It's almost asif I wasn't here that entire year"

"...His ex is back in town"

his what?

"...Erwin had a girlfriend?"

Levi took a moment to see how he was going answer this question.

"Something like that"
