As The World Caves In

ch. 3

The morning after, everyone is gathered inside the conference room. Thor, Bruce, Tony, Raven, and Wanda all present.

"So, they knew you were trailing them?" Thor asks.

Raven nodded, "Yes, they tried to throw us off by giving us the wrong location but I was able to get the right one."

"Yes, and that is at Luport Cargo Shipment correct?" Tony asks, grabbing his computer.

"Yes, and it's tonight at 10pm not 8."

Tony shows the blueprint of location in the big screen.

"I believe that the drug enhancement will be put in boat 35V." Tony informs them. "I did some digging and tapped into Ryder's network."

"They'll make the drop there tonight?" Bruce asks.

"Yes they will." Tony nodded. "Maximoff and Woods will be ready for them to send a message to Tao."

After the meeting, Raven brings herself to train, to fight better for tonight. Even when she's wounded, Raven chooses to stay on her feet. To always be alert.

Practicing what she's always good at, Raven takes another dummy down to ground, efficiently using her energy. Wanda watches from afar, admiring the woman's will to do well tonight.

"What are we watching here again?" Thor asks, smiling mischievously before walking off.

Wanda clears her throat before going inside the training room.

"You should take it easy." Wanda says. "You'll hurt yourself."

"I feel great." Raven says, giving Wanda a smile before taking down another dummy.

"You're bleeding."

Raven looks at the side of her abdomen, seeing blood on her grey shirt.

"Maybe you're right." Raven says, taking a seat slowly.

Wanda gives Raven a bottle of water.

"You have heart I'll give you that." Wanda begins. "But, you have to know when to let your body rest before an important mission."

Raven nodded, giving the woman right beside her a warm smile.

"One thing you should know about me, I'm very determined." Raven says. "When there's something to be done, I make sure I get it done quickly and efficiently."

"I see."

"But sometimes, it does backfire." Raven smiles. "I mean look at me, bleeding through my favorite shirt."

That earned a chuckle from Wanda. This makes Raven feel so much at ease.

"You did great last night." Wanda says softly. "It's good that you trusted your instinct and went with your gut."

Raven nodded, listening intently.

"But, be careful." Wanda tells her. "Things always don't go the way you plan."

"You could say that." Raven laughs, pointing at her wound. "Can I ask you something?"

"Go ahead."

"How did you know where I was going to be?" Raven asks.

"I didn't." Wanda admits. "I followed my gut and I went back to the field."

"How'd you know to go the factory?"

"I don't know." Wanda says. "It's like my feet led me there on purpose."
