As The World Caves In

ch. 2

A couple of days has passed and no one has seen Wanda. Raven blames herself for digging up her past.

"Still no sign of Maximoff?" Tony asks the group.

"She'll turn up one way or another." Thor says. "She always does."

Raven stays quiet as they fall into conversation about where Wanda could be. She is worried that she might've put the woman in danger.

"You okay?" Bruce whispered to her. "You seem occupied."

"I'm okay." Raven smiles before looking back toward Tony.

"Alright, well the matter at hand." Tony starts. "There have been multiple shipments of drugs being stolen."

"Drugs?"

"This might seem irrelevant, and you're probably asking why we're getting involved it is simply because of that." Tony points toward the screen.

"It is making people indestructible like our green buddy here." Tony adds. "S.H.I.E.L.D believes that the person that made this is someone that is not going to be easily handled by the police."

"So, they want us to handle it?" Thor asks.

"Precisely." Tony says. "But first, we have to figure out who took the latest shipment and we'll go from there."

"Alright." Bruce says.

"New kid, do you think there is any way you can tell me where Maximoff is?" Tony asks.

Raven is taken aback by this question. Is there something he knows that she doesn't?

"Uhm... I don't—"

"I figured since you teleport all over the place maybe your power could tell someone's location."

"I don't know if I could do that, but I'll try and let you know." Raven says.

"There's no need for that." Wanda says, entering the room.

"There she is!" Thor claps.

"Good because I need you and Woods over here to find out everything there is to know about a guy name Ryder." Tony says. "He is the one that gives these people the drugs and if you find him–"

"We'll find the supplier." Wanda finishes his sentence.

"Exactly." Tony agrees. "You think you can handle this kid? Your first mission."

"I can." Raven nodded.

"I normally wouldn't send you since you still have a lot of training to do but we are short staffed and this cannot wait." Tony says. "Maximoff, I trust you."

Wanda nodded before walking off. Raven follows.

"About—"

"Don't speak of it." Wanda says. "Stay focused and don't get me or yourself killed."

Raven nodded, dropping the topic she wanted to talk to Wanda about.

"So, what are we about to do?" Raven asks.

"Train." Wanda says bluntly. "We'll follow Ryder's convoy later tonight."

Wanda and Raven make their way inside the training room. After changing into their training clothes, both individuals stand frozen in place in front of each other.

"Attack me." Wanda suggests.

"What?" Raven asks, a little curious.

"I said attack me."
