Wanda pulls herself out of Raven's head, tears streaming down her face. She could feel her chest heave uncontrollably, unable to get any of what she had just seen. She looks at Raven with so much sorrow in her eyes, her lips quivering in fear. She wishes she didn't just see any of it.

"What'd you see?" Raven asked with concern.

Wanda paused. She doesn't know what to say, let alone how to even begin everything that went in the room. She wasn't supposed to see any of it, but rather steer Raven to the right path. But instead, she witnessed it first hand.

"Raven. . . I." Wanda struggled to find the right words to say.

"What? What's wrong?"

Wanda held her breath, "your father was the person responsible for the explosion and the reason why you were tortured."

"What?" Raven asked, her facial expression looked like someone had ripped her heart out.

"I'm sorry."

Raven was confused. She didn't know what to feel or if she should even feel something. She has never met her parents as far as she could remember but part of her felt betrayed.

"Why? Why would he torture his own daughter?"

This is what set Wanda off. This was the question she was trying to avoid. She looked down at her feet, afraid to meet Raven's eyes. She played with her fingers as if it was going to buy her time.

"I don't know, I didn't get that far off of your memories." Wanda lied as more tears rolled down her face. She swept it off with the back of her hand, putting up a brave face. "I'm sorry."

Raven smiled, also putting on a brave face. "Hey, it's okay. You don't need to apologize for anything."

In fact she does. Wanda chose to hide the truth from her in hope that she would hurt a little less than she already is. She hated the fact that she did it but Wanda didn't know how else to tell Raven that the reason why her own father tortured her was because she had killed her mother and her sister. Accident or not, it was still a lot of baggage to carry. She couldn't bear the thought of watching her go through it all.

"Thank you for going inside my head. I know how much that might've sucked for you." Raven grinned, embracing the woman beside her. She held her tightly, her mind drifting to what her forgotten memories have given her so far.

After they went their separate ways, Wanda had locked herself in her room, crying in silence as her heart felt like it was being ripped out in pieces. She could feel her world crumbling down as she thought of witnessing Raven's torture and the lie she told her.

Wanda's cries became staggered, each breath was heavier than the other. She couldn't bring herself to sleep, let alone to even close her eyes. The pain was becoming too unbearable to a point where she could crash at any point.

Raven was the opposite. She didn't shed a single tear. She didn't feel like her world was crumbling down into pieces. She was more concerned and curious as to why her own father, who she had never met, would do such a thing to her. Despite the betrayal she felt after finding out, Raven couldn't bring herself to feel anything but disappointment. Maybe this was for the best and that god had done her a favor by not letting her remember her father, but she didn't care. Even if she had, it would be more so rage than anything else. Raven was more infuriated at the fact that her parents had given her away instead of keeping her.

The next morning. . .

In the light of last night's event, Raven managed to set her curiosity aside for the time being. Her past can wait. The future she has now is what she wanted to worry about. She's not going to force herself to remember broken memories that don't seem to want to be remembered. If one day, she wakes up remembering everything then that'll be the day she'll pay it any attention. For now, she still has a mission to do with the team that took her in and made her feel like she wasn't a threat.
