THE UNWANTED COMPETITOR
AMETHYST
Cutouts of fabrics lays on my bed, running out needles and pieces of patterns scattered all around my room; this is my usual weekend set up. I know it was the time to go the mall and buy the things I needed to finish the dress I am currently working on.
I thought sketching or drawing it would satisfy me but despite the last name and reputation both my parents live with- I have bigger dreams.
I know deep down I'll be the Arizona who will raise my name to the Philippines' Fashion industry bust still have to finish this dress!
So I didn't waste daylight and decided to put a light make-up on, wore a pink tweed crop top coat matched with a black tennis skirt and a long necklace for accessory.
I also took my mini charles and kieth bag that has a huge red bow tied on it to stuff my phone and cardholder on.
I also went and slipped on my white socks and black chunky round-head heals. I just felt like a princess today so I decided to go on a dramatic look on a casual day.
As I was about to head out, I noticed Malcom walked in from the sala making his way to my dad's study room.
"I didn't know he was this serious for the Orcas' tryouts." I mumbled to myself. At first glance, you can tell he was obviously new to this kind of sport.
He was wearing a random red basketball jersey shirt and shorts which was obviously not the official uniform of the Orcas, and matched it with a white shirt inside since he's obviously the type to not show off too much skin.
I felt like he's going to do something fun today without even telling me a single thing. I got curious so I silently followed the sound of the squeaky footsteps from his Jordan air to my dad's study room.
I tried to call him out wondering if I can tag him along my shopping today, but he was so pre-occupied to meet my dad that he didn't heard me.
I was planning to crash their conversation when my dad greeted Malcom from inside the study room. "Oh, nandito kana pala, maupo ka, ijo."
Malcom was too fast to get inside and closed the doors from my dad's study room leaving me outside.
I think they were gonna discuss about the dad's latest investment to Malcom's family business back in Korea.
Kung ako ang tatanungin, this is just too much for a teen like Malcom. He should be enjoying his weekends playing basketball rather than doing the tasks and favors his appa assigned to him for business stuff!
