"Told you he likes my T.V." Jasper muttered with a nod towards the man on the couch.
I laughed a little but then found myself gazing at the beautiful apartment around me. His kitchen held top of the line appliances and the counter was a beautiful speckled granite with dark wood cabinets. His stove was fixed to the middle of the island and he had a double oven at the end of the counter. He had three bar stools on the peninsula and there was small little decorations around the kitchen, probably from his mom.
The living room did have an excessively large T.V that his friend was sitting in front of. The couch was shaped like an L with a large ottoman fixed in the middle. There was a fireplace, that I'm sure he has never used, right under the television. There was built in shelves holding awards, albums, and even a guitar.
"Your apartment is beautiful." I whispered, placing Evelyn's carrier on the ground.
"Our apartment." He corrected me as he looped his arm around my waist.
"Hi Poppy! I'm Kai and Jen is in the study." He pointed to a room where a girl was perched with a messy bun atop her head and glasses perched on her nose. The glass paneled door was closed so she didn't hear her introduction but she seemed to be deeply concentrated on whatever she was working on. "She's a student, working on becoming a nurse."
"Oh." I mumbled, pressing myself against Jasper lightly, slightly taken aback at the commotion going on.
"I don't have a room set up for Evelyn, but I do have an empty room that was supposed to be a workout space that she could have. We would need to go shopping basically today so she can be settled in by tonight." Jasper placed his hand on my lower back and ushered me towards a hallway that branched off of the kitchen and I scooped up Evelyn's carrier before following him.
The room was huge and had a bathroom connected to it, that Evelyn wouldn't really need. Four large windows looked out to the Los Angeles sky line and I was slightly jealous of the infant's view.
"I wanna make it like, I don't know, perfect for her." Jasper blushed as he shrugged and his eyes wandered around the area we had to work with.
"I'm sure she'll love it." I pecked his cheek, which I haven't done since we were nineteen. I actually hadn't shown any form of affection towards the blonde since before he left.
Jasper's blue eyes were comically large as I quickly pulled Evelyn from her carrier and wandered back into the family space that Kai occupied.
When I got to the large couch and settled on the end with Evelyn's little nose pushed against my neck as she slept, I noticed that Kai's girlfriend was now snuggled against him.
She was breathtakingly gorgeous as I looked at her long brown hair that was free from it's bun and the glasses were now sitting on the coffee table. I felt severely insignificant as I quickly turned my attention to Evie who was whining in her sleep.
I bounced her gently and rubbed my thumb across her forehead softly. Her tiny eyes opened and she seemed irritated as they closed again.
"Ma." She grumbled, covering her eyes with her tiny hand. I couldn't help but laugh quietly as she acted like a little teenager.
"We've got a dramatic babe." Jasper's laugh scared me as he peered over the edge of the couch. I jumped a little and rolled my eyes at him as Evelyn made grabby hands towards him.
"She acts like a teenager." I murmured, handing her to Jasper who was grinning from ear to ear.
"You guys are perfect!" I heard a squeal and I glanced over to see Jensen smiling at us while gripping Kai's hand. He was watching Jen with complete adoration in his eyes and I felt love swell in my heart just from looking at him. Those two were made for each other and I had just met them.
