Jasper walked in the next morning with a grin stretched across his face. Bags sat dangling from his arms and he closed the door eagerly."Guess what!" He cried out happily. Evelyn began to crawl over to him but it was more of an army crawl so she quickly grew frustrated.
"I've finally got stuff for Evelyn's room!" He crowed in excitement. His pupils were large and his cheeks were rosy, how could I say no to that face?
I stood up and walked over him, wrapping my arms around his neck. His neck was flushed and his eyes were wide as he panted lightly from rushing upstairs from the lobby.
"What did you find?" I asked brushing the blond pieces of hair from his red cheeks.
"Come look!" He led me outside and I left the door cracked so Evelyn could screech if she wanted us.
In the hallway, between our door and Kai's, stood multiple boxes.
"The furniture is white and I got pink accents. I know you like gray though so I grabbed some bluish gray paint. I figured you would want to do the rest." He was blushing now and my heart ached at how cute he was.
"I think it'll be perfect." I kissed his cheeks and picked up the box holding a night stand. "Wanna get started?"
He nodded and soon dragged me into the apartment again where Evelyn stared at us with bright blue eyes. She reached her arms towards me and I didn't hesitate to scoop her up and carry her into the empty bedroom.
"I might call Kai to help me with painting and you could Go shopping or something with Jensen?" Jasper offered with a one shouldered shrug.
"Yeah I would love to get to know her." I nodded gently and switched Evelyn to the other hip. "Are you sure you don't want me to help?"
"No, go ahead and get you guys dressed." He tilted his head towards our room as he walked outside the front door to fetch Kai.
"Wanna see Jen?" I asked Evelyn as I set her next to me so I could rummage through the bins to pick out her clothes.
I pulled a summer dress over her head and put a diaper cover over her bum. I grabbed two little rubber bands and tied tiny pig tails into her whispy blond hair. She was giggling the whole time and I couldn't figure out why until I turned around and saw Jasper, Kai, and Jensen standing in the door way pulling funny faces.
"Hi guys!" I chirped, standing up but leaving Evelyn by my feet.
She power crawled over to jasper and pulled at his shoe laces until he picked her up.
"Go ahead and get ready, Kai and I are gonna start taping up the ceiling and stuff." Jasper handed Evelyn over to Jensen who took the baby eagerly.
"Can I help you pick out an outfit?" Jensen asked, settling on mine and Jaspers bed.
"Sure." I shrugged hesitantly with a sheepish smile.
"Yay!" She clapped a little and laid Evelyn down on the bed. I sat next to her to make sure she didn't roll off.
"What about this?" Jensen offered holding up a black romper that had spaghetti straps.
"Yeah, I can handle that." I chuckled a little and grabbed it from her grip. We switched who was handling Evelyn and I went over to the bathroom to slip it on.
"What do you want to do today?" I asked, braiding my hair across my shoulder.
"I'm always up for shopping, but I don't know how you roll." She laughed easily and stood with me, brushing off her coral capris and black tank top that had one shoulder strap.
