The day was ending and the moon was rising. I saw the beautiful sun set down the horizon, while my head lay flat against the cold table.

"Well," I hear my Mom start after she closes the dishwasher.

"I'm gonna head to my room. I'll see you later tomorrow, love you." She says, approaching me and placing a large kiss on my forehead.

"Love you too," I say as I push myself out from the table.

I stand up from my seat, and head off to my room.

Once I walked in, the colours of the sunset lit my room, in different shades of pink and orange, colouring it all.

But ever so slightly, I could see them begin to fade, fading away into nothingness, except a dark sky.
A dark sky with a vivid, luminous moon, keeping my room bright.

I lie on my bed, staring out the large glass window, counting the stars.
Just like counting sheep, as I drifted away.

-

I woke up to the beaming rays of the sun, heating my white silky sheets. I could barely keep my eyes open, just from the light.

I ran my hand through my hair and out of my face, slipping my legs out from under the sheets and onto the edge of my bed.

I stood up, beginning to walk to the window with my back slouched. I reached my hand towards the side on a knob, and open the window.
I felt a rush of wind breeze through, brushing against the sides of my face and hair.

I heard each gust of wind, as I turned away and walked over to my bathroom.

-

I took a quick, warm shower, preparing for a day of nothing.

I had my towel wrapped around my body, my hair dripping down my neck and onto the floor behind me.

I brushed my teeth quickly, before hauling the door wide open.

The steamy bathroom was quickly overtaken by the chilly breeze, as I had the feeling of goosebumps up and down my spine.

I rummaged through my drawers of clothes, ending up with a tight white crop top, a forest green sweater, and a pair of loose, brown jeans.

I combed my hair out in the mirror, while I fixed it to the way I liked.
I then applied light makeup to my face, a natural look.

I pushed a small white bag over my shoulder, and a few rings and bracelets.

Ready to spend my day walking around the city, I headed my way straight to the door.
I put on my white sneakers while I clutch my bag, then when on my way.

-

Exhausting.

That whole day, exhausting.

I couldn't bare stepping another foot, like I was going to collapse. Even with the coffee I picked up, 3 times, I still can't move.

So many flights of stairs.

Why didn't I take the elevator?

I questioned, with my back fallen against the wall and my hair in front of my eyes.

I wasn't even on my floor yet, I was just in the stairwell, sitting on the floor, hoping no one would pass by.

My breathing was heavy, and loud.
