A TURN OF EVENT (Lion King and My Pride Crossover ) UP FOR ADOPTION

Chapitre 7 : Answers and future problems

As the Pride was making his way to Priderock, Nothing was carrying Feather by the neck. The Cub was silent during the whole time as well as everyone present. But many questions were pacing in the Red Cub's brain : Why Simba , usually so calm, was so furious when he saw Zira ? Who was she ? Why was she and her cub banished ? Nothing had exactly the same thoughts. She had heard about Scar but no one wanted to tell her who he was and why everyone in the Pridelands hated him to much.

Her thoughts were interrupted by Nala whose head was turned to look at Simba who stopped walking with Kiara dangling from his mouth "Simba ?" Nothing stopped too to look at the Red Maned Lion who gestured to them to continue. Nala seemed to know what he wanted and she followed the Other Lionesses who waited for her as well as Timon and Pumbaa. The disabled Lioness followed the Queen still carrying Feather while Simba was grounding Kiara for running away.

Deep inside herself, Nothing was scared : Simba trusted her to watch the cubs and she failed miserably. Nala must be upset too , being Kiara's mother. When the Pride reached Priderock, the disabled Lioness putted Feather down before looking at him with a frown "Feather what were you thinking ?" "I'm sorry I didn't mean too upset....I just couldn't let Kiara go there alone ! She is my friend !" Nothing sighed as she closed her eyes but she quickly reopened then when Nala's voice reached her ears "Loyalty is a great quality little one but you should have warned Nothing about where Kiara planned to go !" The Queen inquired with a soft tone and the Red Cub deflected as he mumbled "I'm sorry".

"Just don't do this again and Nala.....Can I ask you something ?" Nothing said as she looked at the Queen "Of course what is it ? " "Well....Who was this Lioness ? And Why Simba was so furious to see her in the Pridelands ?" The cream-colored Lioness sighed deeply before saying "Alright but to tell you who Zira is , I must tell you about Scar..." "I heard this name many times but I still don't know why everyone hated him so much " "Its a long story but I will tell you...." Nala said with a sigh and Feather looked at the Queen with interest as well as his cousin

"The King before Scar was Simba's father , Mufasa. He was a noble and fair Lion and his wife Sarabi was a caring Lioness. But sadly, Mufasa's brother , Scar was the total opposite of his elder brother. He thought it was HIM who should be King and Not Mufasa...." Nala started to explain before Feather asked in confusion "Why Mufasa was chosen to be King and not his brother ?" Nothing was curious too "In the Pridelands , the first born always became King ! It had always be this way since the great Mohatu...Anyway, Scar hated his brother and he was first-in-line for the throne until Sarabi gave birth to Simba. Since that day, Scar became angrier and later, planned a stampede in the gorge to get rid of both Mufasa and Simba once and for all ! "

Nothing couldn't believe what she was hearing : how could a brother be so cruel to his sibling ? Feather , for his part, was watching the Queen with wide eyes of shock and horror "Mufasa saved his son but he didn't make it.... When he tried to escape, Scar was waiting for him and then....he pushed him back in the gorge...Then when he realized Simba was still alive, he brainwashed him saying he was responsible for his father's death before telling to run away and never return. Then he came back to Priderock and announced Mufasa's and Simba's death...." Nala closed her eyes at the memory of the entire Pride heartbroken by the news.

"And what happened next ?" Nothing asked with wide eyes of horror "Scar became King and allowed the Hyenas in the Pridelands " Nala responded with hatred in her voice before calming down a bit " The Circle of Life was no more and the herds left. The Rain never came during his reign of terror. All the Pride was losing Hope....Then I decided to escape to look for help and I arrived in a Jungle where I found Simba alive and healthy ! He told me Timon and Pumbaa saved him before raising him . I was so happy to see him again after all this time... I told him about the Pridelands' situation but he still believed he was responsible for Mufasa's death so he stubbornly refused to come back and we broke into an argument.... "
