Drink for the day: Despaccino (cf) – a desperate cappuccino. Because your bitterness beats out your sweetness.
Barista Tip: Justin Bieber can never.
Hi ho, peeps! It's been a while, innit?! I'm sorry, this trash I've been telling you for a long time has become so chaotic that I don't know where to begin anymore!
So, I'm starting with this:
"Why would you poison the people here?" Ryen asks, interrogating the cashier guy they saw back all those days ago.
The guy smiles widely at him. The dimples on his cheeks deepening, how cute!
Flashback to remind you who this guy is, he wasn't really relevant, but remember all those weeks ago when Ryen and Miss Mich went to National Pandayan Bookstore? Yeah, he was the guy behind the counter eavesdropping and laughing at their banter. I know. Shocking.
"Now why would you think I would?" Cashier guy says cheekily.
Ryen's eyebrows shot up in amusement.
"Enlighten me, O sir, Psychologist, why do you accuse me?" This cashier dude is so dramatic I understand why Rindelle Snow hired him. They're both divas.
Of course, Ryen doesn't slink back from the challenge. If someone's behaving like a dignified Karen then he will act more of a Diva than any of them combined. Kasi nga 'diba ang motto ng EXC ay, "everything is a competition, Kim."
"Obviously because you're not from around here." He rolled his eyes in impertinence, not a sound argument but ten points for the sass, I guess?
"You're not from around here either, why aren't you a suspect?" now that's a reasonable rebuttal. Ryen needs to step up his game because in my opinion he's already losing and they haven't even started yet. "Inaakusahan mo ako na ako ang lumason sa water tank ng kanto na 'to, I don't have an alibi, sure, but more than that I don't have a motive either."
"So sinasabi mo na ako may motibo?" Ryen's brow scrunched up in disdain.
"Ikaw nagsabi niyan, but don't you? Businessman ka 'di ba? What if you poisoned the water tank so people can buy water from your patron? Isn't that a motive? Money?" the cashier guy says with an easy smirk playing on his lips.
Ryen sighed in disbelief. "I co-own a coffee shop; I don't need coins from people I'm trying to help, but nice try." Then he smirked, wider than Miss Mich is used to. She involuntarily flinched away from him. "Look, you're not just a suspect, I'm saying you are the perpetrator and I'm a hundred percent sure of that."
Cashier guy blinked in confusion and amusement. "You can't just say that without proo—"
"I'm saying I have proof. Keep up, Wilhelm, I thought you're smart." Ryen sighs smugly. It's like he's cornered a rat.
At that Wilhelm looked visibly surprised. "How do you know my name?"
"Is that important? Let's just say I've met someone like you before."
Staring at him in disbelief, Wilhelm, the cashier guy, crossed his arms on his chest and tilted his head a bit to Ryen, as if telling him to continue with his nonsense.
They're both a little confident, it's a bit concerning.
"I'm fairly certain you work for the little bitch outside the house right now, did he tell you to poison the water tank?" Ryen starts.
"I ain't saying anything until you show me proof that I did it. Ginagawa mo naman akong parang tanga ka?"
Ouch.
