I finally realized
that I gave up too much of me
I couldn't help it
I got my hopes up
I thought that maybe
Just maybe
You'd choose me
Maybe I scared you away
Maybe you didn't realize that I was hoping
Maybe I shouldn't write down the possibilities
I'd be here all day
You probably don't care
You have no loyalty toward me
I probably don't mean much to you

I won't make the same mistake again

Maybe then you'll realize what we could have been
